I also still own my childhood stuffed animals. I feel like that one is more normal than consistently buying capri suns as an adult. They have sentimental value to me for some reason and I dont feel like donating them and my niece likes to grab some and take home every now and then and I don't mind that.

Picking x ray vision as a superpower is definitely weird, but given the choice between that and flight it seems like a no-brainer. I know I'd 100% get myself killed and even if I didn't, big whoop I can go like 1,000ft off the ground with no plane where it's windy and I'm freezing my nuts off.
Honestly in the realm of actually using your power, X-ray is better but imagine rich you could get just from being able to fly. You would be a celebrity and definitely get a lot of brand deals just because you CAN fly even if you never do.

The only place I've seen a VCR in the last 10 years: I worked at a Pizza shop in Nova Scotia a few years that was trying really hard to push a 90s New York vibe. They had a Cathode Ray TV, hooked up with VCR and N64. Pretty sizable VHS collection too, a lot of us loved thrifting so we'd find gems every so often. Many a slow Wednesday night spent watching Mortal Kombat '95, Terminator, or Rambo.

@@escape209 A big part of why it's funny is because the punchline was written before the joke. Don't really know how to explain why else it's funny but they aren't pretending.
I think the point is it shows the absurdity of some insane people comments online. It's like someone asking "Is the Earth shape ellipsoid?" and you know someone would write "Yeah of course, that's what they want you to believe. Smart people like me know it's either flat or cube."

I'm in the percentage of adults who have had Capri Sun because Lunchables are fuckin' cheap when they're on sale and I'm not always wanting to prep lunch for work everyday. It's not weird, it's just that $2.50 is a decent deal for something that holds me over until I'm free from my shift.

My guesses were way more accurate than theirs about childhood stuffed animals and caprisun, I imagine because as Gen Z gets older and we see more nostalgia culture following the "End of History", there's an enormous emphasis on how nice things were before, to the point that people our age have little access to new things out in the real world and are encouraged to find comfort and cope with a deteriorating economy in our own homes and memories. We weren't taught how to be adults, we were just rewarded for being good, obedient, people-pleasing children and we're still having to teach ourselves how to grow beyond that.
