Hi Thomas im mahdi, im thinkin to bought the new nano cortex ❤❤❤😊😊i love to jam and play Your songs end your collab songs with Kalax and jam over your song jugaar 🤘🤟🤟🤟🤟🎸🎸🎸🎸
Hypertune is huge money and time saver for people who want to play songs from their favorites bands in different tunings. No more switching guitars, string gauges, setting it up again. Every time i use this i still can't believe it works so great, i mean accuracy and latency is just insane good. 💜
QC transpose sounds bad comparing to the Hypertune. Hypertune is clear and quick. And it's obvious, because the purpose of Hypertune transposer is transposing, while the transpose of QC is just a tiny part of the unit possisbilities. Thanks for the video. I love your setup, espacially how you control your cameras/view change with a deck, absoulute fire!
I downloaded the demo to compare with the transpose function of Neural DSP plugin with 3 guitars: E1 28", E1 29.75" and C#1 30". I prefer the Neural DSP transpose, even if it's not perfect either. The Hypertune adds something in the lows that's not natural.
I’ve found that the Transpose block on the QC works fine as long as you stick to chords that only have root, 3 and 5 but once you start playing sus2, sus4 or 7th chords it gets warbly. NDSP have come out and said it’s monophonic. Maybe they’ll update it 🤷🏼♂️
It’s like a clone of their plugin transposer which you can hear here th-cam.com/video/YLuZtpvaPno/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZOmrUbPsb6gGWAQt Suffers from very similar issues.
@@McRocklin yea I got the Nolly plug-in when they gave away a free one. I was not impressed with the transpose function there either. Still have to keep my Drop pedal on the board.
Was that just me (only listening on my phone) but did the QC create a massive warble effect when transposing down 5 steps? My Pod Go does this, and was interested to hear what something towards the other end of the market could do, but to my ear, not much better!
What an eye opening shootout between these products. Not sure why anyone would use Neural's transpose when Hypertune works so much better. I have to say that I have some plans for using Hypertune in the future that I'm very excited about!
Nice comparison! I think the cortex would work in a pinch but the Hypertune is just that extra level of quality!! When’s Neural going back up truck loads of cash to get you and Luca to share your secrets!
I'm in a cover band and with my gear discovery I bought a DigiTech drop which suited the purpose. I then bought a Helix floor and used the Poly Capo for a while but had to go back to using the drop before I went into the Helix. Once I discovered HyperTune I immediately bought it and it works well inside of Pro Tools. It is definitely better than the drop but it is a plugin. I too would love a hardware version of HyperTune or now that modelers such as the Quad Cortex are able to run plugins (their own), it would be awesome to get HyperTune inside Quad Cortex as a 3rd party plugin and I can sell the Helix and Drop pedal
I wish HyperTune had a Warble button that would add some controllable artifacts. Sometimes it is really fun to play with artifacts and warbles. I like to call it "edge of f*ck up" tone. I am sure that the leader here is Bias FX. Its octavers are just pure warble & artifacts generators😂 Anyway, Hypertune is just a revolution in transposing. Thanks to the development team.
Weird, I don't have those issues on my QC. But It'd be because the Neural stuff is a monophonic Transposer, same with the pitch shifter, they've confirmed it on some FaceBook posts. HyperTune seems absolutely nuts. I wouldn't be mad if yall worked together and got Hypertune on the QC 😉I get why you wouldn't though Edit: I'm definitely gonna use HyperTune now tho
hypertune is way smoother, but i’ll stick to my Boss octave OC-2,i’m definitely looking into getting a wireless system for my guitar to amp setup so any suggestions Mcrocklin?
I love my OC-5 it’s only just been replaced with HyperTune. For wireless, oh gosh if it’s for home BOSS and others do nice digital systems. I have a Shure SLX digital RF based system and it is AMAZING. But, completely overkill for home (I’m actually that system for my mic in this video) total overkill, but I love it lol.
@@McRocklin thanks 🙏🏼 i’ll definitely give Boss a look at their wireless, probably not till november or december, have to payoff some bills 1st,looking forward to the next livestream and hopefully the return of the shred dojo,BTW any updates on the Tab book? just curious
Hey Thomas, what is your experience of using your chair ? I've just got the very same old Herman Miller for a week to try out, it holds my back well, but my upper legs ( back part of my thighs ) are getting numb within minutes, no matter how I set the chair height. This mesh type sitting area seems to be uncomfortable for me, but I know this is an industry standard chair, so I thought I give it a try... Your opinion ? Thanks !
Hmmm I usually sit fairly forward on it vs sitting all the way back, but either way it seems ok and pretty comfortable. Like I don’t plan to replace it because it affects me in a negative way etc. I wouldn’t buy it brand new, maybe check on eBay etc, loads of companies buy them and then go bust the following year and have to sell them all off 🤷🏻♂️
It's weird how bad the Quad Cortex's transpose tool is when their computer based plugins have a fantastic transpose algorithm. I used the Nolly X transpose tool and it's insane how good it is, but when doing the same thing on a Quad Cortex, it's insane how bad it is. I'm just guessing it's a processing power thing where a computer is just much better at performing this than a stomp box. It'll be interesting to see if Polychrome ever does make a stomp box based version of their plugin and see how they can solve the problem that Neural didn't.
does it work well on bass? it seems like there is no pitch shifter that works good on bass. I have Digitech drop back in a day, it wa fine for dropping down from low D to C, or A is still fine, but the low 4th string wobles sometimes on long notes.
@@McRocklin that's great! thanks for the fast response, appreciate that. I would love to see it in pedal(hardware) format, I think market is in need for a new "drop" pedal.
@mcrocklin do you use a midi or wireless midi controller based expression pedal when recording to be able to pitch shift with Hypertune? Or do you program those changes in your DAW?
My goodness the transpose in the QC is terrible... how is that even acceptable for a company as big as they are? The latency is almost livable, since I feel that most guitarists who are transposing are probably riffing and not doing single note lead stuff, but the WARBLE is maddening. Hypertune, on the other hand, handles everything like a champ. I've been using it daily and have not heard a single warble or hiccup from it at all. On top of that, it's also a fraction of the price.
NeuralDSP is putting more money into advertising than product improvement, their pitch algorithms are horrible, even the Ampero, Zoom or Joyo are better, I love the Hypertune tracking and would like to see it in a pedal format for live use, the only comparable unit is the Line6 PolyCapo algorithms that were programmed by the same people who created Digitech Whammy and Drop
Thoughts on this head to head?

I'm old and deaf, but the QC sounded like it had a wobble to it and it cut out a little. The Hypertune sounded smooooth.
Much RESPECT! 🤘✌️
That pretty much sums it up. And HyperTune is lower latency.

Nothing gets added to the lows :)

Yeah, most transposers actually do this. HyperTune has very little of this, and is incredibly fast so you don’t feel lag/latency etc.

Haha maybe on a different product, for HyperTune our goal was to create the fastest and lowest latency, clearest sounding transposer ever.

I want this as a pedal 😮!❤
Is there a difference between the standalone compared to the built in one in the suite?
The standalone has additional features. In the suite we use the tech from HyperTune as the transposer.

Any chance PolyChrome will be doing a Steve Vai edition?
No plans. You might see Vai style presets on future products/updates 👍🏻
I feel like the I don't get this on the transposer with the NDSP Plugins. but I typically only go 2 or 3 down
Hey! Do you can compare to Polycapo from Line 6 Helix, Helix Native etc?
I don’t currently have that, but I guess it’s possible.

What if you capture the hyper tune with the QC?
It’s a real time processor, it needs to run live.

@nathan-dudeman they don’t advertise it as a monophonic transposer.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Im gonna test it in my computer, if its as low latency as you say, i'll be 40 bucks down.

Flex on the latency by playing quicker than the 8-10 millisecond lag 😂✌️

Hypertune for me.
And Oh yeah, this is by the way the Quad Cortex... It's going to be our next door stop... Anyway... :D:D Hahaha nice vid.!
The Quad Craptex has nothing on Polychrome DSP. Hands down the Hypertune sounds better.
