Near to 1.4L on road Bengaluru. I would pick the 160 4v.. it's got oil cooled 4 valve engine. Hero still following Honda. The same old air cooled 2 valve engine. VFM is definitely on the TVS Apache.
The follower of redeemer, I agree with you, I was facing the same issue. The reason behind it is that the bike uses Hero Mineral Oil of the value 10W30 which is having thin viscosity due to which Engine starts to vibrate and gear shift just becomes hell. Solution : Use Motul/Shell Semi Synthetic 10W40(thick oil) after 1st service and use Motul Chain Lube between the interval of 3 weeks to clean and lubricate the chain with the help of kerosene (no petrol) Use good quality grease on gear penal. Then you can thank me!👍
Hero Xtreme 160R is very good bike. It has auto sail technology. And you can ride bike in 5th gear in the speed 30 to 120, and no need to shift gears down frequently. Light weight and very good pickup. From April 2021, Bluetooth connectivity is available as add-on for Xtreme 160R.

I currently have a duke 390 and for almost 1.5 years my time riding the bike with my group has reduced drastically... main reason being I spend most of time with my baby boy who now is 2.5 years and i take him on short rides on my bike. So obviously i ride slowly... Since i don't see real usage of a bike for next 3 years at least, I'm planning to sell my 390 and get a 150 / 160 cc bike instead as they are not too expensive, meet basic performance & commuting requirements, easy to maintain and can still take my kid around occasionally. Hence I'm seriously considering this bike over the likes of an Apache or X-blade because I liked the way it looks.. Please do let me know what you think about this Dino?

Finally hero and honda are giving engine kill switch . But the digital speedometer console is difficult to read in daylight . Tvs ntorq has the best speedometer till date I guess so . You have the same scooter right . Mr Dino don't u think scooter manufacturing companies should start providing RPM meter for 125 segment scooters ?
Styling actually looks very impressive and I can’t believe Hero designed it. But as always, the engine is a let down. Should have went TVS’s route by atleast reworking the head with 4 valves. As always, amazing review Dino!
i think you are expecting too much man for a 160 cc bike .. if it rides smooth and gives a peppy feel and with good mileage then what's with the 4v engine ?.
frying PAN I test rode it recently and then immideately rode the RTR 160 4V. I felt Hero could have done a better job here. The engine is literally a bigger bored Honda Unicorn engine in a different state of tune and that’s why it felt quite underwhelming for me. The RTR on the other hand, felt a lot more lively (BS6 model) and eager. Also found the RTR to be quite a bit more refined especially when riding spiritedly. I think it has to do with the 4 valves helping the engine to breathe faster and also the counterbalancer helping to immensely minimalize the vibrations.
If i have to choose between RTR 160 4V, xpulse 200T and Xtreme 160r which one should i chose bhaai?! i am 185cm height (6 feet). i want easy maneuverability and comfortable riding position. I really hate the lean front position in R15 kinda bikes. also rear seat height must be okay enough for elder people/women to sit.

Is the seat would be good for long rides? Because I own the Hero Xtreme 200R and the seat is the only sour point of the motorcycle.
