I wouldnt say that western europeans are "liberated" - they are uprooted from their families. Polish people not yet. I dont consider western european and american lifestyles as "liberating". Individualism is good to a certain point - there is a thin line between individualism and alienation. Westerners are crossing that line. Unfortunately its a thing in Poland - 20 years ago Poland was very well at socializing - nowdays you can even not know your neighbors in your apartment. Computerization and technology caused it - people spend more time in internet than socializing. Good culture is a culture that find a balance between colectivism and individualism, between conservatism and liberalism.
