They got very surprised when Earthland Natsu talked back at Edolas Lucy, which is what led them to believe they were from another world. Edolas Natsu is only brave when he is behind a wheel. Take him out of a car, and he becomes the apologetic coward that he normally is.
I think Edolas Lucy cutting her hair was A. Her making a clear difference between herself and our Lucy and B. A way to show that, to the people of Edolas, things like hairstyles are trivial because of what they are going through
Yeah plus since the original would be in black and white a hair dye would probably make the manga panel take a little longer to make so making her hair shorter would be a time saver like how super Sayiain’s design was to make Goku’s design easier to draw
It was really nice meeting Edolas Gajeel and Natsu. Edolas Natsu not being brave when he’s out the car is very interesting it makes sense tho and Edolas Gajeel is a very sophisticated well educated man compared to our lovable Gajeel. This arc really is lots of fun.
I don't know for sure if Lucy Ashley can use Lucy Heartfilia's keys but I want to say she can't. Even if they would accept her as their wizard, celestial wizards normally use their own internal supply of magic to summon the spirits. There have been times when a spirit has come using their own magic, which is how Horologium was able to save Lucy in time, but I don't think that will work with summoning them when ever.
No, Edolas Lucy can't use our Lucy's keys. Like you said, even holder-type wizards need to channel their own magic to use the magic of their objects. In fact, it's because that celestial wizards use their own magic to summon their spirits that the latters are not as powerful as they would be in the celestial world, since their power is proportional to the magic of their summoners.

Have you ever thought about reacting to romance comedy anime it would be great if you could react to school rumble it’s a really good and old anime from the early 2000’s it’s great with good character development dude cast and story it makes u feel nostalgic even if it’s ur first time seeing it

I love both Natus! The original one is brave, heroic and gold hearted, and the other one is cute, sensitive and a skillful driver.

Mystogen giving Lucy that food to go to Edolas reminded me of how haku gave chihiro that medicine so she wouldn’t disappear in spirited away.
