Niamh, I’ve lived in Manchester U.K. 22 years and am Irish, my last visit home to Ireland was in October 2022 - passing through Dublin has been a depressing experience over the years and especially after Covid, all the areas of Dublin that I used to know have been ruined - originally from Dunshaughlin Co Meath where I still have extended family, I come over on SailRail via Holyhead and I used to live in Dublin for 3 years towards the end of my 13 years in Superquinn before I eventually moved to the U.K. 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪❤️
Manchester is an exciting city, so sorry to hear about your experience in Dublin 😢 I think there was definitely a shift in society since Covid. If you don’t mind me asking, would you ever consider returning to Ireland to live? 🇮🇪 💚
@@WalkWithNiamh Honestly, even though I hold an Irish passport the entire time I’ve lived here, I’m not sure if I could consider doing so - already, even before Brexit, trying to renew an Irish passport was made much more difficult from the U.K. - in the Internet age and despite the Trump election steal, I do believe that we Irish abroad should have full Irish voting rights, which we lose after 5 years living outside Ireland, yet even on an Irish passport, I still got full U.K. voting rights after only a year - I find that on my visits home, I get odd responses from people still living in Ireland when I see things that are “off” - I’m also an older Irish gay man and am very conservative-minded and had I had the chance to do so at the last referendum on gay Marraige, I would have voted No, as I’m also a traditional Catholic despite being born into Vatican II and in my teens in the 1980’s
Dublin looks lovely even in the rain! The atmosphere is so soothing and refreshing.
Thank you for another great vlog. After watching this Dublin is definitely on my list to visit! ❤x
You should Queenie! Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed your video. Coming to Dublin in April and was interesting to see what people were wearing in the rain.. Looks like a lovely city to tour and see the sights. Will search for any other videos you have. Good Job! Well Done!
Glad you liked it. thanks for watching! We are releasing new videos this weekend from Dublin. It’s a great city! Hope you have a lovely time in April.
People in Ireland wear clothes when its raining!
My Grandfather had been in Dublin 1916 War....Conner Street area
It's shocking to see O' Connell St. In the state its in now. Shame on the Authorities for letting it go like it has. No other country in the world would let their main beautiful Street become the O'Connell St has become. I don't know when you filmed this. Try the weekend Friday night Sat + Sunday when the Romanians are fighting and illegal migrants walking stark naked in the middle of the day. Wake up and give the true impression of the way it really is. GOD BLESS MY HOME TOWN I WAS BORN IN 🙏 🙌 ✨️ 😌 ❤️
I agree Lucy. The City is becoming a dump. I Irish btw. Last time I was at the bus Station, Busaras, the State of the place outside It. Urine, the stench, dirt, rubbish strewn. Dublín was wonderful once. Not Any more. Woke has destroyed our country.
Dublin was always a dump, I did four years in college there back in the 2000s and it was as bad back then: remember the Love Ulster riots? Dublin Bus wouldn’t give change as too many of its drivers were being attacked out in the sink estates.
The biggest problem Dublin has is that for some reason the City Council decided to build a heap of methadone clinics slap bang around the city centre, hence the living dead having the run of the place, particularly at night. Most of whom are Irish born and bred.
Very interesting looking city. Its like someone plopped a typical British city in the middle of Belgium. A little European, a little British feel to it. At.least from here haha. Which I guess is appropriate.
🍀
Nice video, was last over in 2018, going there in August. Any local suggestions for good non tourist trap pubs and restaurants?
Hi Jom, Mother Reillys in Rathmines - definition of what an Irish Pub should be :) Hope you have a lovely time. Also Fountain Lane if you're in Belfast.
@@WalkWithNiamh Thanks for the pub recommendations, much appreciated. I'll be sure to visit them both on my travels 😊
So what was shocking ? Click bait i presume .
You presume wrong. 04:58 Remanence of Easter Rising battle. Thanks for watching.
exactly ...nail on head the usual junk click bait begging for views
Thanks for watching 💚
Nice vlog Niamh. Keep up the good work.
Ireland looks filthy, depressing and tacky.
Dublin City centre is not representative of the entire island.
This is only a small part of Dublin. But there are many many more beautiful parts of Ireland 🇮🇪.
@@TheLastAngryMan01 Ireland is a dump look at the state of the countryside no matter where you go its full of rubbish people illegally dumping and even worse people dumping bottles and wrappers from their cars. Ireland is an overpriced dump.
Yes, please stay in your own country!
Get those Palestine flags off our streets
Palestinian flags are Hamas flags!
Why would you say something awful like that ?
You are RACIST
I am sick and tired of seeing the Palestinian flag
Hey, sorry to hear a flag is making you sad.
@@WalkWithNiamh lol sounds exactly like pro Palestinians when they see an Israeli flag
Why are you so negative?
