The real crazy thing about Lugo isn’t so much the amount, it’s they’re all quality on their own too. Lotta guys throw 4/5+ pitches, but a lot of them are used to get hitters off their best pitches.
Trevor, if you rewatch Lopez's outing I think DeJesus had it in for him when Lopez went to pic off Lux on 3rd and it hit DeJesus in the chest. Lopez always appear to smile before he throws and I wouldn't pass it by DeJesus that he took insult to something a pitcher does every throw. I think the Dodgers broadcast did a better job in the moment 🤣
In NY it’s the media. It’s always there and fishing for the worst. And it’s magnified by the large number of media. The volume is always at least 11. Management should know Lopez has personal issues. Get him some time off.
I agree all around. I would add one thing though. The player also needs to be open to receiving help. Idk if that’s a factor here, but that is a factor that is in play in a lot of these situations and I feel like gets overlooked sometimes.
