    Only a little bit into the story but it’s so far another piece of pure talent. I appreciate your work. It was instrumental in helping me push through my military contract.

    I really like this one! I come from a large, extended rural family, and hunting is a way to fill the freezer to get through the hard times. However, the complete disregard for the life of the animal, as well as any callous pain and suffering you inflict on it infuriates me! I am glad to say it is the attitude of the deer hunters in my family! I don't know if it is because of my belief that all life was created by God and is sacred & important to him, our Seneca/Celt background, or just a great appreciation for nature that makes me feel protective towards those animals who have no protector. As an adult, our property is posted. I know we are given permission to hunt & eat animals by God, but he never gave permission to worthlessly slaughter, or cause unnecessary pain. Hunting is something you do out of necessity, not out of enjoyment of ruthlessly ending life. Good doggie!

      Subsistence hunting and fox /pheasant sport hunting are completely different things. All the subsistence hunters I’ve known hunt what they need as humanely as possible and share with people in their community who struggle with food insecurity.
      Compared to fox and pheasant sport hunting which is just tormenting and killing animals for the hell of it and often in the cruelest ways possible.
      Just to be clear, I’m agreeing with you lol. I feel like my comment is worded poorly 😅

    I think this is a GREAT story!! I love the flow of the story, his conflict with his inner-wolf, and I totally understood his (wolf/man) thought processes throughout. Also, if that had been my village, I absolutely would have been protesting, but I'd be the one resident that got everyone else all hyped up and ready to go to war against the tyrant! (Unless we had a secret werewolf weapon to take care of it for us) Lol! Ultimately, though, when I hear Mark's inner dialog, it sounds like, how I imagine, your own actual thoughts would evolve. And, I appreciate your subtle encouragement for people to love animals and our world. Especially animals! Anyway, sorry for too many words!
    Tl/dr: GREAT STORY!!!

    Never really enjoyed the idea of hunts like that. Something more personal if you're in the elements, lying in wait for that special target to emerge.
    Aside from that this story feels to have a potential sequel and imyall for it.

And my son is in college 1400 miles away in Colorado and that’s only 2/3 the way across the USA. I drive to see him every other month. DRIVE. It’s 24 hrs there. 24 hrs back. 😂😂

    (Edited because great response that makes me reconsider my position. Please read the whole comment discussion here and realise I've genuinely been convinced to look at it another way reconsider this post. Much love)
    I've noticed a trend to political edged, left leaning stories and comments and I'm sad to say it makes me think twice about my loyal subscription to an otherwise quality narrator. I came to listen to scary and creepy stories, not have real life politics thrown into the mix.

    • @NaturesTemper

      I just care about nature dude and hate seeing it messed up so much. I don't have the money or fame to make change that way so I thought a few videos that helped showcase these core issues with the British landscape might make at least some difference. I'll admit it's a tad hamfisted because I'm not a writer, but I'm happy to see that the themes resonated with most people.

    Good story but the protesters should mind their own business, hunting actually keeps animal populations within reasonable numbers and helps proctect farmers crops

    • @NaturesTemper
      @NaturesTemper  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +62

      Fox hunting is posh twats going out on horses and letting their dogs disembowel them for fun. Even then, nature balances itself if we dont mess things up. I mean what do you think happened before humans left Africa?

    • @charlottelay8220
      @charlottelay8220 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +23

      These “reasonable numbers” you mention are interesting seeing as we’re squeezing wildlife into smaller and smaller spaces… but okay…

    • @donnavalliere8722
      @donnavalliere8722 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They're not protesting natural wildlife, they bring in thousands these birds and the birds ruin farmers crops and local wild life. So no they're not protecting farmers crops they're creating the problem. It says so in the beginning of the story. Under those conditions I'd protest too.
