Yeah Carla, you tell it straight to Adam's face. I know that Adam is still grieving his broken relationship with Sarah in his own way, but Adam was acting like a complete douchebag in this scene. I'm so glad that the old Carla is back and slaying it.

Thank you for posting these, it's appreciated. I would love to see her buy back Nick's share and work as a team with Sarah. I like their friendship at work and think they work well together as a team. It's also nice to see Carla and Nina scenes. Male partnerships in business don't seem to have worked well for her, so a female partnership with Sarah and Carla leading Underworld would be a nice change. Ali is really wonderful at every single thing they throw at her and brings to life every single line. I also do enjoy the odd scene she has with Adam. I do love fiery Carla when she loses her filter and the shaming re women/sex and Adam was spot on. I was disappointed when they hyped the big storyline for her missing time and we got a few good episodes and they dropped it. They do seem to be incorporating it a little in her relationship issues. And she finally admitted out loud she was raped again. Which is why her walls went back up and I think why Peter backed off a little. Although I do think he should have just talked to her. His responses were a little harsh re Jordan (given how understanding he was initially) and I wish they'd let Carla delve into this more and have her really open up more with Peter and vice versa. Carla really wasn't far off with her analysis with Peter re: damsels in distress. He takes on other's issues to avoid the fact he wants to drink. I have been enjoying the maturity and growth they have been through this year and hope they continue to, despite the issues between them currently. I really don't want Peter to descend into another affair or drinking. It would be nice to see something different and more fitting with the more mature version they've developed this year since they got back together. They were communicating more and then suddenly hit a wall which is realistic given what happened. I don't think they will go there with Abi and I hope they never do. I don't think I'd forgive Peter ever again. It was hard enough with the Tina storyline and after she lost her baby to get back on board with Peter as he has a habit of repeating the same mistakes over and over. Hopefully this time is a little different and they go somewhere a bit more creative. I honestly think the story with Abi wasn't really needed because his impulse to drink when things aren't perfect and Carla's issues re her breakdown / missing year would have been enough material to delve into, as would have been coping with being raped a second time and the issues/triggers that would have arisen with that. They seem to not really want to explore the non-consent issue other than as an obstacle with Peter and I wish they would as being raped a second time and mental illness/consent would have been a really powerful and important issue to explore. I don't think it has been explored on a soap other than Hollyoaks with Gilly/Jackie. They both are so good together when given any type of material. Especially Ali. I know they've both had really good material in the past but I do feel like they've not had a lot to do together as a couple in way of scenes and storylines explored more in depth lately. Even Peter's story seems more about Abi.

i agree with everything you said!! i think there’s going to be a lot more to come with this storyline since its chris’ 20th year on the show, so i really hope its more to do with peter/carla rather than having abi involved a lot
