Great to see some companies making some thin stock on a blade in premium steels definatly wil make it a great slicer and the quality of it looks amazing as well. Would love a locking blade with stock this thin and a really tough high hrc steel. Rex45 native with a re grind has been my favorite knife for a few years. Still waiting for spyderco to make a laser beam like this

With all the modern super steels about this type of geometry is long over due. However due to manufacturers greed in resistance to re-tooling we don't see it and instead get geometries that served for 400 series stainless. Email your favorite manufacturer and demand a change. Eventually, perhaps there will be some incremental change. Also buy the knives that do have the desired geometry and skip the fat bois. That will definitely make an impact.
Some do, I have a couple that do but they are typically known to be traditional and drop in a slip or just carry in the pocket instead of on the pocket, a Clip can stop them from carrying so easily at the bottom of a pocket or in a slip, I say just add one and someone can remove it if they want

They had those mkm sheaths on blade hq for $16 the other day but I think the sale may be over . Great find btw 👍. You realize we figured out how to fix civivi button stick the other evening . Dude , it made the biggest difference polishing the button lock area if anyone is irritated with that little noise or slight pressure release noise and stick .
I personally have never had an issue with any of the civivi, I've had issues with other companies but it was always easy to fix with the trick I reach, and a little bit of stick or snug Ness is good imo because it means you don't have blade rock, almost all button locks get blade rock soon after they don't have atleast a snug button
I got the Maxace mirror and it's blade is so thin behind the edge that with a 20 degree edge I put on it the actual bevel, it's just a tiny shiny strip.
That's the blade you mentioned to me? Not a fan of multiple stops(Manly does that) but everything else is 🔥. Thin stock, great geometry and look like very nice ergos. I'll have to put this on my buy list. I've been selling of a bunch of my collection so something has to really catch my eye for me to want to buy and this thing definitely caught my eye. They have a bigger option that has a linerlock (but no thumbstuds or flipper) and its in s90v but the blade stock is twice as thick at 3.8mm/~0.145" which is a bummer.

MC got that from me lol its hard not showing excitement in a video when you actually are I just let it roll However it does. I used to get comments a long time ago from people talking crap about how can I get this excited over a knife 😆 or people saying it was to much but it'd better than me faking not being excited Lol and I know you were bring friendly and meant it that way 👊
First thing i thought was that this is just a Manly Wasp with a nicer handle. I will still go with the wasp due to the price and the much better reputation compared to Maxace.
Maxace m390 tested very poorly. Plus the owner is shady. He even went on a rampage calling out a bunch of people and companies for taking his design when it didn't even look like it.
When was this?. Maxace usually doesn't make their own stuff but has different OEM's they buy designs (or the rights to put their logos on them) (from companies like Stedemon) or have OEM's make Maxace and Midnight Cat Studios own designs. Who was this owner? Chan Adan?. The M390 on the models I have had the last 2 years or so have performed better and above average compared to many of the larger Chinese companies.

And I highly doubt that cid1 has data that shows maxace m390 was better than others. Its in the feels right? Go play video games and flip your fidget Knives.
Outpost 76 video was over 2 years ago on one example, that doesn't prove that they do bad heat treatments or that the oem they are using now does, I will do my own tests and see for myself as far as their m390 goes. I love what Gerald does and very much trust his opinions and tests. I've gotten bad heat treated blades that I didn't paint an entire company with, especially something from a couple years ago when every company was doing a horrible job with their m390, but if it's bad I will find out and say it

Yeah it's got a bunch of stops but it's kinda cool and they are easy to get past, I like that I can easily close it one handed

25.4 is the magic number. Take .075” (blade stock thickness) multiply by 25.4= 1.905mm. Also works the other way. 1.905mm divide by 25.4= .075”

Maxace grinds some of their knives super thin. The Balance 2022 and the Babylon are ground very thin. So is the PMP Harmony made by Maxace.
