I too in india pay 30% tax on my income and 18% to 33% gst on every purchase in Canada they are utilising tax for public development ,

Politicians here are no less corrupt, the difference is that they keep the people generally satisfied and busy so that the people keep on paying taxes. Indian GDP is around 2.8 trillion and Canadian GDP is around 1.8 trillion but look at the population of India. It is 1.4 billion people as compared to Canada's which is only 38 million. Indian and Chinese population combined together covers 40% of the total of earth's population of 7.8 billion.

The cost of school education for kids is added into property taxes which is quite high around CAD1000 per year. You can then specify which school division you want your share of taxes go to. It doesn't matter though, whether you have kids who goes to school or not.
