Dso setting is not for loudness. It is dynamocnsound optimization. It is when the speakers are set real low in door or any bad placement of your ears . Or is speakers above your ears you pick the setting and it makes the sound level to your ears to give you the best sound . This makes a massive diffrence in sound quilty trust me then it on to the setting g you need. You will see what I mean. It also has dynamic amp 2. So that all the sound is at its best sound no matter how low or high the volume is. Taking out any distortion and giving you the best bass and tremble sounds at any volume. This head unit is one of the best sounding out there for the money. As far as sound it ranks up there with 2000 dollar units just doesn't have as many birds and whistle.

Decio Silva I don’t believe you can remove it. Check your settings to confirm this. SiriusXM is not available in Australia which is why the units delivered here do have it :)

Eighty B hey mate. You need to go into settings > general > demo (turn it off) Then, Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth connection > pairing. Then you can pair Bluetooth. If it doesn’t connect. Reset your phone and look for software update etc

This unit and the pioneer dmh-z5150bt are second best both on par. The pioneer has better sound equaliser but Sony has the capacitive touch screen. Both very reliable. My picks in order of best 1) alpine 2) pioneer 3) Sony Another unit to consider Kenwood DMX8019DABS which, IMO is second to the Alpine unit, again slightly more expensive.

NightOwl16 One USB does AA/CarPlay and the second does USB music. You can use one for music and one for smartphone. I was thinking about pioneer. They have dual input USB but one is CarPlay and the other is AA/music
There is a USB icon on the unit. Or if you mean physically access them. They are rear mounted so when installed your fitter will run them wherever you want them.

If you’re anywhere else you’ll need to go to a store like Autobarn or Auto-one. A store that sells car related products and they will help you with what is needed. In terms of the unit - stick with these. Sony Pioneer Kenwood Alpine Anything else I would personally stay away from, especially eBay Chinese brand units!! Hope this helps!

Chim Pokemon Hi, It’s good, haven’t heard a complaint. I have seen it play up on a few units though, it’s usually to do with the phone (google pixel) and others. And also cheap USB cables can cause issues. Samsung phones with good cords seem to work the best
I had a note 10 plus and now I have an iPhone 12pro max and it’s more to do with the phones port. I noticed USB in most scenarios fits very loosely into the phones port, but iPhones lightning cable fits very snug and never loses connection. Hope that helps

FromDom Hey mate. Good to hear! I think you mean the centre console right? Where the fuel and boot release are? You can definitely put it there. I think that’s where I put it actually. You’ll need to remove the two screws in the centre console at the bottom (maybe under some carpet) There’s also another screw under the little compartment right behind the gear stick. Just double check that’s all of the screws and that panel will lift right up. You can feel the wiring through the same grommet / hole that the bonnet release comes through.
