My two cent tips for you, the best and wise way travelling around jakarta is by public bus or commuter train, very cheap, quite comfy all with AC, and just buy the card from chain convenience store name the indomaret or alfamart the card name e- money or flazz. The card is acceptable for all of the public services and transportation system in jakarta ( one for all ). And you can top up the balance at every indo or alfamart store. My suggestion for you, take the airport train from c town to the airport to avoid the traffic jam. And if you take the train when you traveling around Java is the wise and best choice, but not with economy class for long time ride.
Thank you so much for the tips! We didn't know they sell transportation cards in alfamart. We were too busy buying snacks😂 Next time we get a chance, we'll have to try other public transportation.
@@twobetween you also can withdrawl cash at Indomart and Alfamart if you are unable to find ATM in there with a condition you purchase 10K IDR at the store. Some of Alfamart also provide services like mail services and EV battery swap.
I think you should try the indonesian train journey through the southern route, from jakarta to kroya or vice versa, because the scenery seen is so beautiful, because the railway line is on a mountain along the way, and I am sure you will like it 😁👍
Bus is also the best recomendation transportation in Java, they have class variety executive class and sleeper. The ticket price Jogja to Jakarta is 400k and 270k for the executive class Its very comfortable, it could be the best alternative.
The snake signage on the toilet door means not allowed to bring animal or pet. May be there is an experience where people brought their pet to the toilet
Hi, greetings, friends, this is a pleasant trip I have seen, economy class is usually mostly chosen by people who just want to be economical, or people who have a low salary opinion, yes, it really helps to save money. I like you both, very romantic, positive energy, Thank you for coming to Indonesia, especially in Yogyakarta to Jakarta. Have a nice holiday.
In my opinion, if you are traveling long distances like Jakarta-Yogyakarta, at least use a higher class, because this trip takes quite a long time. As a convenience limit, maybe the Jakarta-Yogyakarta route (and vice versa) is an alternative to train transportation. It's more comfortable if you travel by train for no more than 3-4 hours like Jakarta-Bandung and vice versa, because with that much travel time you will simply enjoy the scenery during the trip without feeling bored when compared to a trip of over 6 hours.
We agree. Next time we travel this long on a train ride, we might take a business or a higher class seat. But we were also really curious what it would be like to ride a budget train ride
I just rode the economy class last December. 3 days before Christmas I went to kediri to visit my mbah and mbah putri grave I kediri. After that to malang for some solo trip. 12 hours in economy train is huge test for my back. The 90⁰ seat is really a pain and that caused me backache.
You know... Better order a cup of noodle rather the nasi goreng for myself... It's a quite expensive for my pocket & portion so so and again better Nasi Goreng came from 'Abang' Nasi Goreng keliling. Ahhh.... 😆
Actually, another tip for you guys, if you're planning to go to Jakarta from Yogyakarta, you can ride the 8-hour-long-ride sleeper bus with full highway track for around 320k rupiahs or 21,20 USD. It has the best and comfiest seat, the seat can actually recline like a bed, and you get a free meal, cushion, a blanket, and in-bus-entertainment.
But you should go with local friend. Cause Bus Terminal not really English friendly and i dont think bus crew could speak english. Its hard taking bus if you couldnt speak Indonesian.
Ga semua org kota itu yg naik kereta api cuy, kadang ada org yg dr desa jg naik dan bahkan blom pernah naik kereta dan blom mengetahui aturannya, mungkin SDH pernah kejadian org bawa ular naik kereta makanya di bikin aturan....
Just a little tips, if you want to get train ride, better you buy the food before entering inside the platform. The food in it and inside the train is just expensive like in the flight, for 35K rupiah you'll 3 portions of nasi goreng.
Forgot to comment what the meaning of "snake sticker" in the toilet room found by Sarah.....it means that "bringing snake in the train (especially in the Toilet) is strictly prohibited)....why...because the snake could scare people who pees and that people could run out of the Toilet butt-naked....that's even scarier (in Indonesia)...hahaha..
train fares for long or short distances are relatively the same, with the same price you can use bus transportation with more comfortable facilities and longer routes, currently the train fare is becoming an issue that is being discussed by the public about how efficient it is and the operator is in the spotlight
@@twobetween Another info, 500K of executive train ticket for 8 hours ride is almost the same as the fare of LCC airplane Jogja - Jakarta for 40 minutes flight tho. Hohoho.
12:11 "Dilarang membawa binatang" means don't bring animals/pets (inside the train). But for some reason, they chose a picture of snake to represent animals .... 😅
If you're still in Java/Bali, you should try the intercity buses. But don't randomly choose the bus operator. Ask a local friend or comment here. Some might recommend which bus to take. I was a regular in that train route. I always took the business class. But they somehow erased the business class and replaced it with economy (with the business fare). I took the bus since then. With the same fare as the economy train, I get much better leg room. Meal and snacks are also included.
12:06 it's actually no pets are allowed in the train. Idk why the company used snake as the picture 😅😅😅 they could have use cat or dog instead but it just simply meant any pet
that snake pic? no pets allowed. FYI, back in the days they used to live cooking nasi goreng on the carriage so you would get an authentic, hot piping, delicious meals. Now they just reheating it with microwave, i guess safety reason hahaha. i don't like the sugary instant coffee, try the hot tea instead, pretty decent.
No, they still have live cooking until now. But it is only available on the executive class trains like Taksaka, Argo Dwipangga, Argo Lawu, etc. If you take the economic class, all food you get are just reheating by microwave like what you've said.
@@ariesta.rahmayanti they do? wow that's great. I don't know bcz rarely took executive train and always prefer night train, so i come stuffed and ready to sleep all the wayy. I eat the "old style nasi goreng" when i commute by Pasundan every week circa 2010-2012. Back then Bandung-Garut only 20k and i always buy nasi goreng+hot tea+snack around 30-35k, and yes my meal spending is more pricier than the fare itself hahaha.
@@anreYna12 they're hot chocolate is better than the tea and coffee... In my opinion. but it's all about taste. Some of those microwave meal is quite decent actually. The Sei sapi was nice..a bit more expensive but still reasonable for meal on board
