@@yj6118 tbh i’ve wanted to move to NYC for about 10 years so right after i graduated from college, i just started applying for jobs out here! It took a few months bc the pandemic slowed everything down but once i got a job out here, i moved into an Airbnb for a couple months and then got an apartment!!

Gratitude for sharing the Pomodoro technique. I am of the opinion that those 25 minutes locked in & 5 off for 2 hours is something we have used throughout time but needed to have standardized. Like we need to standardize Betty Edwards’ 5 questions for saturation. A few years ago I had the realization that Kimon Nicolaïdes’ The Natural Way to Draw: A Working Plan for Art Study [posthumously published in 1941] includes a schedule for drawing exercises & studies that’s a novel application on the Pomodoro method. In the 4th edition of Edwards’ Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain she asks readers to look for intertextual connections between drawing & other creative endeavors. Like working Pomodoro intervals for Drawing/writing/brainstorming & imagine there are video & photography exercises like contour/gesture/memory drawings.

God bless you but I so do not relate to people who plan everything out and write everything out, goals, etc...every day and week... and keep track of all of it, I just can't relate. Im sure it's better to bet that way in life, I mean you look successful but I just can't...LOL i like the idea of it and love using pretty pens to make pretty lists, but once I write a list, I have no idea where it goes, or never open that planner again! Ha
