Thank you so very much, Lila. I've been using Premiere for the past twelve years and you have shown me that there is always something new to learn when using this amazing tool. Your tips are life savers...not to mention time savers. You have a huge fan of your work here in Boston..
I used to do the interpret footage tip but Premiere didn't carry over that over to any proxies I created. Now I simply do the rate change (ctrl/Cmd+R) in the project bin on the source clips directly before bringing them into a timeline and that seems to work everything out just fine with proxies.
@@lilafromyoutube personally I like the way you do it better! Adobe just must have screwed something up during some update and felt they had better things to do lol
I almost lost my mind trying to figure out why interpreting footage wouldn't work with proxies. I've been doing it manually in the timeline but your method is way better! Cmd+R on the source clips is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
@@alex.mcintosh happy to hear I could help! I was frustrated awhile back by this too but luckily found a video on it specifically eventually. Its so specific it can be hard to search sometimes so thats awesome to see you found my comment and it could help!

Your videos are very useful and inspiring, thanks for creating them! I'm planning to do similar sorts of videos but for a different piece of software and was wondering what you use to capture your screen and show what you're doing in Premiere Pro? Thanks!
Great tips! I actually always keep audio while scrubbing on because often I want to hear certain parts of the video--for instance when someone begins speaking--and scrub right to that precise moment. Having no audio while scrubbing prevents me from being able to do this! Like I said, great tips!
The mask sizing tip... 🤯 I've always hated working with masks because of that! Q&W all day for me. A huge time saver! I always learn something watching your videos, Lila. Great job!
As usual Lila you are the *'Hero of the Day'* The Q & W saves so much time!! Question for you.... using the "Scene Detection" feature is there a way to 'Export' the detected clips/bin so you can use them at later date with a different project ?
Yeah! One way is by putting them all on a so-called “string out” sequence and then saving the project using the project manager. I made a video about it a week ago that explains it a lot better. th-cam.com/video/Oj6z78nO49w/w-d-xo.html I hope this is what you’re looking for!
I, and my channel are new to TH-cam. After using many platforms, I have finally just started to use premier pro. It is absolutely amazing. Your videos are great for people like myself, who have literally no experience in this subject. Thank you 🙏
Hey I'm using ctrl K for cuts and bins for different audio, video and graphics footage. The motion tracking in aspect ratio changing was very helpful. Thanks
Holy edits Batman! Your channel is a Godsend. I need lots of your kind of help so looking forward to checking out more of your videos. Subbed immediately! Big thanks!
Hello Lila Thank you so much for each video you posted.. so good all I have a question about the tags in the multicamera> I would like to know if the colors of the tag placed in the original videos can automatically pass to the final edition sequence. This would be useful because when mixing the cameras, the color of the camera to which that shot belongs would be placed, and they would be identified faster, giving order and color to the edition. Is this possible?
A better sound selection is quite subjective so that’s a hard one haha. I’d say they’re different! Been using trackclub for the last month or so now and I enjoy that the stems are more detailed. On epidemic you get “drums” and “bass” but on trackclub you get every instrument used. That allows for a lot more flexibility and control when you like a song but don’t like the “sparkle sound” or whatever :) if it helps, my link in the description will give you a free month so you can try it out and see how you like it compared to epidemic. You can cancel at any time! Edit: link - geni.us/TrackClub
Unchecking "Play Audio While Scrubbing" is fine and dandy but what if you doing audio cuts? You need that on while using precise editing while using the arrow keys. And, there is a quick key for that. Mac = Shift + S.
Can I ask what do you do when try to playback audio in premiere? I mean, I use the "biblioteca" to navigate trough all my audio files, but they are increíble high on volumen, I don't know how to preview with a lower volumen. Thanks!!!

Hello gorgeous. I agree with everything except - "audio maintain pitch while shutting". Because according to this I can hear when the music function changes and I should do a video transition. But this is a plus, because I will know how to enable this function.
