The 1st 5 neighborhoods she mentions are 99% white on white and insanely expensive. #6 Sunset - White & Asian. Hideous weather. #7 The Richmond , lots of Russians (white) #8Bernal Heights. BEST neighborhood. Multi - cultural Latino, Phillipino, Black, the last remaining SF artists, musicians, and magic. (Since 2000’s alot of tech millionaire types who have bought up alot of Bernal and jacked up the prices of everything. )# 9 West Portal - White , foggy. # 10 never heard of “Mission Terrace” they must of just renamed it. I think it used to be called the Excelsior ? Old working class white & Latino families. My # 1 is Bernal .
With how much you bring up the fog, you make it sound like we get sun only a handful of days out of the year. 😂 With climate change in recent years, I actually find myself wishing it was still as foggy as is once was when I moved here almost two decades ago.
Hi! Which neighborhood do you live in! It's always good to hear from people who actually live in the neighborhood. How many days out of the year % wise would you say are foggy?
Any family with school-age children considering a move to San Francisco right now should be very mindful of the current situation with San Francisco schools. The Board of Education just fired their District supervisor because he introduced a plan to close and combine several schools across the City due to major budget shortfalls and that some schools had only a quarter of their student capacity. They appointed an interim Superintendent to take over but it probably won't make any difference as the math just won't make it work to keep all those schools open. So, check out what's happening to the schools in any area you might consider buying into.

As someone who grew up here as a kid, I loved it and never felt unsafe! I even took the bus alone from a young age and was always safe.
Golden Gate Park! And especially the Richmond District, around 96th Avenue and Fulton, you get a great view of the Pacific Ocean!

@@livinginsanfranciscoca the Sunset. Where we’d probably be foggy 60% of the year back in the 2010ish time, I’d say it’s dropped to below 40%.
That's a big difference! Thanks for the info!
Grew up in the Richmond district and love the nearby parks and Clement street!
Fabulous info Ruth!! You are the best!! 🙂
Thank you!!!!

Amazing video -- I understand why people live here with their families; all the parks and walkability is such a draw!

San Francisco public School not fully go by neighborhood. Even your home right next to the school and they may send your kids to some where else.
Squat and Gobble used to an Original Joe’s, train… streetcar, just a bit of ribbing.
I remember the Original Joe's at that location in West Portal. Things have changed over the years.
