My wife and I just returned from London and Paris. We had a beautiful trip booked through our travel agent, using a touring company called GloBus. We covered all of the major spots in this video. Most were included in our "package". There were optional trips such as Versailles, which we did. But doing things on your own as in this video can get expensive. Especially if you don't know exactly what you want to cover ahead of time. We plan to take more trips, but they will be booked through our TA and of GloBus. Cheers and Bonjour!!

After Spain I'm going to take the train to Italy, But I find France is between two of them my friend said take train is very convenient. And she also taught me how to buy cheap tickets! “Paris rises above its hype” indeed! I finally made it to Paris at 50 because it had never been on my priority list; I grew up hearing so much about it that I honestly felt like I “knew” it. Holly Molly, I couldn’t have been more wrong! It is just so unbearably beautiful. Even random little streets are beautiful and quaint. Interestingly, I also always heard that Parisians were rude (I’m from New York City so it couldn’t be worse), but I found them To be super friendly, and at worst, a little impersonal. Story: I looked up the best way to get downtown to our hotel and a lot of people recommended taking the subway (BAD decision - don’t do it unless you’re only carrying a fairly small backpack) but the train tickets got the demagnetized in my wallet. This young Arab-looking man ran to the scanner and use his own pass to let my wife and myself through, gave us a big smile, and we could barely utter a thank you before he was gone. The people, the food, the sites, the history the markets, the little restaurants. Now I am one of those annoying people who won’t STFU about how wonderful Paris is! I left my heart there.
There is so much more to Paris... Ping me next time you're here if you want to know about some of the hidden gems. Beautiful art galleries away from the centre, for example. Hidden gardens. Beautiful little known churches. Free viewpoints few people know about. Such as the one from where I was photographing the sun setting behind Sacré-Coeur church yesterday. Pure magic. And so much more...

Great video! Paris is a great city for sure! Definitely recommend the "Fat Tire Bike Tour" to visit Versailles. Small groups, easy ride, and they have awesome friendly and knowledgeable guides. From near the Eiffel Tower, a short bike ride to the train station, then off the train in Versailles, stop for picnic items (baguette, cheese, strawberries & wine of course), then a stunning ride to the end of the Grand Canal for a picnic with a beautiful view down the entire canal with the palace in the background. Then a tour of gardens and interior, then back to Paris. It's a full day, but an amazing and unforgettable experience. Best for adults (young and old).

You missed the Palais Garnier ( The Paris Opera House ). It is heaven on Earth. You have to see all the floors and the balcony too. It was commissioned by Napoleon with the best artisans in the world at the time. It is a MUST SEE EXPERIENCE ! You will WEEP AT IT'S BEAUTY ! They have earphones that will narrate your visit as well as tours.

I enjoyed your inserts of historical points into the different tourist spots - like how some of the different rooms in the Palace of Versailles were used. But that's why I was especially disappointed that you called the architect of the new pyramid entrance to the Louvre Museum "a Chinese designer". It was I. M. Pei, who was a prolific & iconic Chinese American architect ( he came to the US as a student in 1935 and lived in the US until he was 102 in 2019).
You kids are so cute- Carpe Diem comes to mind when I watch/listen to you travel. I've been to many of the places you have gone but you probably had way more fun:) Travel stays with you forever- make them memories while you can- hoping to take my wife (of 38 yrs) back to Amalfi and go south this time in the fall. Was there in 1982 amazing how crowded every place is in Paris now. We didn’t wait to do anything. There were no crowds and no lines. Everything is so commercial now.

I'm definitely booking that tour guide company. You guys wen to gorgeous locations...with the exception of that tomb. That didn't fit the theme of your romantic getaway. So here's my questions: (1) How far in advance did you book your dinner reservations? (2) Did the tour guide agency book your admission tickets and skip the line tickets? So when it comes to booking everything we did, all the links are located in the description below the video or pinned in the comment section I would book these tours probably a month in advance and yes GYG is a third party that offers all these tours and you will have all the info on your phone after booking (example: QR code for entrance tickets, meeting locations) I would recommend booking experiences like the River cruise in advance because they may sell out. Best part about Get Your Guide is that you can book everything you want to do months in advance and if anything goes wrong you have up until 24 hours before your tour starts to cancel and they will refund you 100% no questions asked! Was there in 1982 amazing how crowded every place is in Paris now. We didn’t wait to do anything. There were no crowds and no lines. Everything is so commercial now.

I'm definitely booking that tour guide company. You guys wen to gorgeous locations...with the exception of that tomb. That didn't fit the theme of your romantic getaway. So here's my questions: (1) How far in advance did you book your dinner reservations? (2) Did the tour guide agency book your admission tickets and skip the line tickets? How many days were you there? Lastly, what was your daily food and drink costs? You guys got me excited about my pending visit!! Thank you so much for sharing your visit to the city of love.

I would book these tours probably a month in advance and yes GYG is a third party that offers all these tours and you will have all the info on your phone after booking (example: QR code for entrance tickets, meeting locations)
I would recommend booking experiences like the River cruise in advance because they may sell out. Best part about Get Your Guide is that you can book everything you want to do months in advance and if anything goes wrong you have up until 24 hours before your tour starts to cancel and they will refund you 100% no questions asked!
