I went through these videos and followed along making notes on my own lesson plans. I wish you had a video for every section because I feel like the flow and content covered is a perfect pace for teaching new students. Besides the mock oral from FlyMA there isn't that much on youtube to prep for the checkride, so this is really helpful
Something to note, I believe he misspoke. Hystotoxic doesn’t cause the oxygen to become toxic to your blood. It’s essentially the presence of a toxin in the blood inhibiting the use of the oxygen. ❤
Nice video! Was wondering if you might be able to make a video on how you create your lesson plans or fill your binder? I am getting ready to start CFI and this would be a huge help. Thank you!
I like the video but would suggest slowing down and allow more pauses. It feels weird at first but makes the information more palatable to the listener.
This was actually the number 1 thing my instructors kept telling me during my CFI training. On my checkride I was much slower paced and it felt like it came across much more clear.
Hey Clayton, awesome videos! I am in the process of preparing my lesson plans for my cfi checkride. One question, is the presentation format in this video how you presented it to the examiner on your checkride? Im wondering if you think it is necessary to provide visual aids like pictures/videos via powerpoint for each task or just have notes to reference/talk about it discussion style. I like using whiteboards but am on the fence about creating powerpoints.
Here are the task I taught: I. Fundamentals of Instructing -Task B, Task D, and Task E (one question about Task G) II. Technical Subject Areas -Task A, Task B, Task D, Task G, Small amount from Task K, and Task M III. Preflight Preparation -Task A, Task C, and Task E IV. Preflight Lesson on a Maneuver to be Performed in Flight -I taught 8s on Pylons, and S-Turns Across a Road
1st class medical is always a first class medical. However after it expires it's still called the first class medical, but you can only exercise the privileges of a second-class medical and then ultimately exercise the privilege of a third Class medical privileges.
@JH-qqqqqiim 1st class for 12 months, then 6 months 1st class as 2nd class privileges, then 6 months 1st class as 3rd class privileges. Total of 24 calendar months
Great video!
Thanks for the great info

My goal is to eventually make videos for every task! Just don't have the time to do it right now unfortunately.

O2 levels stay around 21% molecules don’t change just less pressure .
