    Modern 4 strokes actually run higher pressure now. MTU 8000 series at even 1500 bar injection!! Common rail have recirculation lines on 4 stroke too right. Confused how hydraulic oil cleans 2-stroke injectors, please explain.

    1. Both 4 Stroke Fuel Injector & 2 Stroke Fuel valve has recirculation line. (In main engine we call it Fuel valve and not Fuel injector)
    2. Opening pressure varries and can be adjusted as req.
    3. Distribution holes and Position on Fuel Injectors & Fuel valves on cylinder head are corelated.
    You are doing a good job just read the manuals and compare them accordingly.

      @Roshwin Vaz there is no recirculation line in 4stroke fuel injector..because we start and stop by using diesel..but in 2stroke engine during port stay only engine in off condition and that time we r doing preheating of injector to avoid vapor lock and carbon deposit over fuel injector and to avoid thermal shock then it is easy for us to start the engine..

      Ane u r saying stupid thing like main engine it is fuel valve and aux Engine it is fuel injector..both r same only..in both we say it as fuel valve only

    Why we are using hydraulic oil to test fuel valve is it because of fuel test pressure or any other reason

    Great video. Only recirculation part of Auxilliary Engine is confusing as all the fuel exiting through the fuel pump might not be injected through the fuel injector because at the time of Starting and Stopping of the Engine, the situtation will be different, in many of the ship's in which I sailed, the Auxilliary Engine's were started directly on HFO.

    For generator on my ship we used to start the engine on diesel then changeover to HFO for normal operation so will it have recirculation line ??

      Opening at which fuel injector gets opened.
      Injection, pr at which fuel is being injected into the chamber.

      Recirculation line exists
