My Van Has a Bathroom! | OGO Composting Toilet Installation | Van Build Ep. 5

- Howdy!! Thanks for coming back to the build, or if it’s your first time here- welcome!! With move-in day just around the corner, I am so happy to be finished with the last large-project of the van build- The bathroom!
In this episode, I am finishing off my front cabinet that houses my composting toilet! I went with the OGO Composting Toilet mainly because of the sleek look and small footprint, and I was seriously impressed by thoughtfullness of the design. The toilet has an electric agitator that is activated by a button on the side, and it churns the compost on a 45 second timer. Not having to crank a handle manually was a huge selling point for me! With the OGO I can slide it back in the cabinet, press the button, and let it do it’s thing. This button also lights up when the urine jug is almost full, making it easy to see when it’s time to empty. I can’t wait to show more of the OGO and it’s features after setting it up for first-time-use in my next video when I move in!
I also finished the plumbing, and the faux-woodpile for the front of my battery box, and I am loving how it’s all turned out :)

Great build. The only thing missing is a shower. Though not essential for there’s many means of keeping clean, having a hot shower out in the sticks is pretty cool. Looking forward to your first camp out. Cheers.
