      @@trailandkalewas good to hear you speak about having fun wearing the alpha fly 3 because some people have the misconception that you can only wear this shoe for a marathon I know this is where the shoe excels especially for the elite runners I am by no means a runner but this shoe definitely makes me perform better alpha fly just feel amazing and at £285 you better put some miles in 😂

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Madman-100 absolutely right! It’s one heck of a lot of money for a pair of running shoes, get the most out of owning them! :)

    Great review, what about sizing. I normally wear 46, are these true to size or should I go half up?

  • @zeerevs
    @zeerevs 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Looks like you can easily roll an ankle. I went with the Vapor Fly 3 because it's a lot lower stack at the heel. AF3 seems WAY too unstable for me.

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They’re stable at speed and when you’re running on your forefoot. Did you not find the VF3 super narrow? I’m going to be putting out my review of them very soon ✌🏼

    • @zeerevs
      @zeerevs 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@trailandkale I haven't gotten them in yet! But from the past, I had the previous gen and they seemed to fit like a second sock. They are certainly more narrow, and feel more 'racey' but I shall see what happens when I get this new 3rd gen in this week.

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @zeerevs hope they work out well! They’re quite narrow in fit and the width of the mid/outsole so not as stable as the Alphafly, but yes they’re still fast and racy

    This thing doesn’t like healstrikes at all some runners prefer to or tend to when tired .. for all of them loock else where but for a consistent for or mid foot striker
    It’s an absolute rocket!!

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly, you should try the Vaporfly 3, it’s horrendous for heel strikers with stability issues! lol. Cielo X1 all the way for most runners 👍🏼

    Can these be used as gym shoes ??? Actually liked the looks a lot

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No I wouldn’t recommend them for the gym. The midsole is too bouncy for lifting weights. You need a more stable shoe for that - the Pegasus 41 would be much better

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I don’t feel any high arch. I’m assuming you mean that annoying inside edge of the shoe that sits as though it’s an arch? I noted that on the previous 2 versions too. This one is SO much better. It’s there but so much less noticeable now as it’s a wider fit shoe (compared to before)

      @@trailandkale that’s brilliant I have heard the long sky 2 is more forgiving under foot than the skyfire. Looking for a nice all rounder that’s slightly less cushioned than the goat and agility but perhaps more like speed cross 6 but more cushion.

      What's worse are those "just getting into RUNNING". Buying all the High End gear.
      Yet getting passed by someone wearing "clearance" items.. or just a regular cotton T shirt/shorts along with last seasons "non carbon" running shoes. Pick any model you like.

    • @alexandrecazes725
      @alexandrecazes725 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jt.8144 clearly ! I am just a bit skeptic about comparing the speed of shoes, if it makes you run fast or not! I feel like it is far better to choose a shoe depending on the feeling you have and have some proper healthy training rather than aiming for the most performant pair of shoes ! Btw, it is nothing against your review which is really interesting, just questioned what purpose the shoe are still answering to... (performance or balance)

    • @trailandkale
      @trailandkale  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s really just like any other super shoe out there. It’s designed for those looking to slice minutes or seconds off their times (race or not) depending on their ability level. I’m not an elite runner, I just love running and the tech that brands bring to the sport. If they manage to bring extra performance to the table, I’m sold, and I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks that. The AF3 and Cielo X1 genuinely help you run faster due to their design and technologies paired with comfort. Beautiful shoes, scary cost

  • @jt.8144

    Who's this shoe for? It's a shoe for those who are so disillusioned to spend 300 dollars on a pair of shoes. Yet still have their "day job" sitting in a cube or office thinking they're going to "Kipchoge" at the local races.
