I still can't believe that I can sing in falcetto now....I failed become able to flip in that fucking headvoice for 40 years, and then I start to listen to Rens Music and, as I always did, sing along...and flip in the fucking falsetto just like that. I know that sounds incredibly lame but that is like a miracle to me. xD

Ren just said on a recent interview how he sees his voice as part of the percussion in the songs when he's rapping. It's funny to hear AR mention that as well, and i know this was filmed prior to that interview being released. Crazy!❤

Polyphonic or overtone singing has been used in Tuvan throat singing for centuries. When he did that part that you mentioned it sounded like he was using the technique for the sygyt style of throat singing but he had his tongue in a different position, like the half tone position between karygyraa and sygyt. In poetry we call it rhyme and metre. Where you use the stress on particular syllables is how you count time which is why good poetry has such interesting flow patterns. It's also why poetry works better when spoken.

As soon as I hear his voice on the acoustic version my immediate thought, every single time, is that it sounds like he has a bit of a cold or something else affecting the tone to his voice… is it just me? Anyways, I think that just makes the whole performance even the more impressive, his breath control is ill cuz it’s not like he’s standing still, nah he’s moving around all over the place. At this point I’m pretty convinced his farts must sound like sick beats tbh, like he was made out of music and music was made for him.
I prefer the acoustic version always. I catch more of the lyrics. Ren can sing upper key too. Sam is not the only one. Sam likes to stay up there more for some reason? My opinion.
