Very good video! I have a Sig Sauer Special Configuration W229-40-SP and have always wondered about this. I LOVE those grips you have on your gun! I'm about to send my Sig to the shop to have my slide hard chromed to accentuate the stainless steel hammer, trigger, take down lever, slide release, and decocker. Your grips would really add to my gun's looks!!
Kano Daily - The Philippines and More Just a follow up KD it’s all functionality sound even with 40 mags . Still awaiting 9mm recoil spring. It did not like regular 115 grain standard loads , but ran NATO 124 grain and +p with no issues. The 9mm spring should take care of running lite loaded 9mm . But thanks for your encouragement. Now I have best of both worlds 9mm 17+1 sig 229 sweet . K
so I just bought a P229 DAK in .40, it doesn't have rail frame, can I still use the 229-1 barrel? I don't want to buy a slide for it, thanks for your help.
You can use the p226 9mm mags in the p229 40/357. Mecgar sells a 20round p226 mag that works in 229 with 9mm,357,40

Sorry so late. Everything except the chamber in the barrel should be the same as the 40.

I am honestly not sure. I don't know if all the .40-caliber frames have been that way or not.

don't use a sig 229 9mm barrel in a 40 cal 229, contact barsto barrels tell them what you want to do they make barrels for this
How did that 228 slide hold up on that ?
Honestly, I haven't put enough rounds through it to break it. I know people have put many thousands of rounds through P228s, including lots of +P+.
