Awesome very useful demo vd on how to DIY the replacement, i believe will help many people out there who wish to upgrade to nice Litepro Crank and BB by themselves with correct tools. Thanks for sharing, wish you best!
At my first Free Service I had brought a new titanium crank with ceramic balls, to be changed. I do like the original folding pedal, which cant be lost! A Brompton is a horrible rolling bike on the small wheels anyway. Finn. Denmark
Erm... you should put the plastic bolt on left crank arm on 8:30 first to preload the crank arm to the bearing, then only tighten the pinch bolt on 8:00... Just my 2 cent...
For these Litepro taper cranks seen on Ebay, they only specify squARE HOLE TAPER, but what taper? JIS I hope? Do they fit well on the JIS tapered Bottom brackets? And will these cranks set up well on a track bike for s single chainring?
The crankset looks nice, can you measure the chainring offset from the seat tube axis? That way, I can see if it matches close to a track crankset? And do you run the cranks with any shimano Hollowtech cups? Or did Litepro make the matching BB cups? I see there were no washers of additional hardware needed?
That looks just like a Shimano/SRAM GXP bottom bracket, so as long as your road bike bottom bracket takes the English bottom bracket, it should be able to use this crankset.
For brompton i cant say as ive nvr ridden one. Compared to normal bikes there are some difference especially in terms of changing gears as u nd to stop pedalling to change the internal gear hub. The internal hub compare to normal hubs, the engagement feeling are different too. Those who r used to normal hubs with bigger rims n multiple gears will find tis bike a bit of a struggle due to its smaller tyre n lesser gears.
Not really into speed as most of my routes involve climbs. Tried 52T but found it uncomfortable on climbs. Mayb in the future i might go for the aggressive setup.
@@kturlapati sorry i cant provide any link frm either of them as i bought mine a long time ago which came in a set of bicycle tools. U may try searching for crank arm cap remover, hope tis helps.

I also upgrade my bike bb, crankset and oval 52t chainring.. is a good invest can tell the difference betwen square taper bb and hollow tect bb..
Nice, will follow yours upgrade onto my budget Camp Lite hazy.
16er folding bike? is the lenght of crank arm has enuf distance from the floor?
Yup enough no problem.
Bro, where to get the tools. I only have the set of allan keys
Can get them online eg. Chain reaction cycle and others
8:20 - Hi. May I know what kind of tool that you use for the preload crank? My shimano tool is too big.
Thats the tool that came with the crank. Normal shimano cannot fit.
For BB installation, there are total of 3 Spacers, should install 2 on right and 1 left or 2 on right and 0 on left > Tks!
2 right 0 left works fine for my chainline.
@@zagester copy that ! tks!
@@zagester Did you purchase the upgrqade as set? Appreciate the link pls.

BB came with the crankset.
hi.. changed cranks but when i back pedal to bigger cogs the chain drops... is it due to my chain line?
Could be.
Do I need a 20 teeth bottom bracket removal tool?
Yes
Hi mind to share where you get those tools, this is indeed very helpful!
I bought it a long time back frm online store, chain reaction cycles.
bro, could you list down the tools I need to perform this pls, TIA

how much is the weight saving?
Did not weigh them beforehand. Frm the the way the ride feels, definitely a few grams shaved off frm stock.
Hi! I’m just curious. Does it affect the length of the chain (stock chain)when you upgrade the chain ring into bigger size?
No problem with the stock chain lenght. If u go bigger than 48t chainring than chain lenght will be affected.
@@zagester so if you go bigger than 48t, you change also to long chain? Isn’t it?
@@kyawkyawtv949 yes.
@@zagester thanks bro! See u around!
@@kyawkyawtv949 no prob, hope it helps.
Did you not have the tighten the chain?
Nope, changed same chainrimg frm 48t to 48t.
What is the spec tool for tigthen the litepro Bb? Mean size
Im not really sure about the size. I used the standard hollowtech bottombracket tool.
Hi dude! What is the spindle length for the bottom bracket? 119mm for pikes?
Its a 68x120mm.
@@zagester thanks for the prompt reply 🙏
Don need to grease bottom bracket?
Best to put some on the thread, but not too much.
What is the grease you were putting on? Is it lock tie grease?
Not loctite, juz normal grease to prevent it frm getting stuck.
Hi sir, is upgrading the wheelset to an aero one difficult? Does it affect the rear internal gearhub
Aftermarket aero wheels usually use external gears replacing the internal hub to reduce weight.
@@zagester thanks 😊
what is the weight differences? thanks

can litepro crankset be install in a road bike frame?
Im nt sure about that.
That looks just like a Shimano/SRAM GXP bottom bracket, so as long as your road bike bottom bracket takes the English bottom bracket, it should be able to use this crankset.
Is hollowtech bb better than stock square tapered?
Yup much lighter n smoother.
Where you buy your tools?
I bought mine at chain reaction cycles.
What is the brand name of your tools? Where can I purchase those? Thanks more power
Im using brand x tools bought years ago at online store, chain reaction cycles.
hi bro, if i were to change to 56T Crank set can i use back the stock chain? Thanks man!
Nd to change longer chain else it will b too tight.
Is this 48T or 54T crankset? What was the original crankset 48T?
its a 48T same as stock.
May I know how the ride feels?
As compared to other bikes and brompton
