I know this catamaran, more than one year ago I send an email to the owner to buy it like a project boat, when the owner told me how affected was, I changed my mind and I don't buy it anymore, now I have a Proud Quest 31 and me and my wife we live on it. I wish you great time and a lot of determination in repairing that catamaran, it's a strong built, you will enjoy it many years.
That's not a bad project. Would be so much fun. I have a 1977 Prout Snowgoose 35. Mine is obviously in much better condition, and a lot more modern, but the similarities are there.
thanks for posting this. can you say how much head room is in the aft berths? they dont look very high. can you just duck to walk in or is it so low you have to crawl in? thanks
The aft berths are crawl spaces. I describe mine as the "coffin cabin" yet every guest I've had, has had amazing sleep in there. In fact on a recent passage to Maderia a young couple even shared the coffin. There is standing room in both hulls, the heads, and as you enter the starboard forward berth. There is also standing headroom when you first enter the boat, but it lowers the further forward in the saloon you travel.
@@defylifeadventure thanks for the insight. sounds a lot like the quarter berth on my mono. wiggle in wiggle out. but very comfortable and secure as long as you dont try to sit up...

That's pretty much brand new compared to our old british project cat. The prouts are such lovely vessels😍
Hi my name is David and I am sure that the boat my parents buy new in 1977 in England is the hull original color was bright red?
question: can you stand up inside? or do you have to crouch? a looking into Prouts

I’m sure I remember looking at this one or similar 2 years ago. Not a bad project. Was that for sale from Toby P?

@@gypsyfreedom9836 You can prop yourself up enough to read or watch a movie or something, but not full on straight back sit up.

Hi....did the boat sell...??
was it worth the price
did you buy
?
I think it's a bit pricey compared to others I've seen in better condition. It's a great build though.
