I have one on my land cruiser 79 and love it. I have however wondered what the spare wheel carrier will do over 1000’s km of bad corrugated roads? Will it hold up?
Hi Chris. Had the bumber installed on my HJZ78 last week. The two swing arms do not open wide enough. As a result, the doors are getting in contact with the arms/Jerrycan Holder when opening them. The results are dents and scatches on the doors. Besides, the Landcruiser sign with the lamps for the license-plate on the left door has to be removed, cause it gets in touch with the Jerrycan Holder. Any idea, how to avoid these problems? Cheers
Hi Chris, I see the swing arm only move 90deg, can it move past 90deg. I have a cargo slide fitted to my 79 Land Cruiser and my Fridge is mounted on it. If the swing arm can only move 90 deg then I will not be able to access my fridge from the side. Is there a solution in the Gobi X range. Thanks
Hi Cobus, thanks for the message. I am afraid not, the reason it stops where it does is so the wheel does not hit the bodywork when it opens back on itself. Cheers Cris
Thanks Chris. I have bought the bumper a month ago with one swing arm and there is plenty of space to access everything. Thanks for a great product and workmanship.

Hi Cobus
Thinking about it, you may find it no problem to get into your fridge depending how far your slide comes out.....
