I must have fallen asleep and youtube started playing this interview with Ms Rayner and I woke up thinking “WHO IS THIS” … what a genuine, believable, honest, powerhouse … and I wasn’t a labour voter.
As an ex union rep I take my hat off to this lady. Everything she says about SUITS is correct. I have been in the same situation in meetings and having done my homework in the field I stood my ground and made them look like idiots. Listen to what she says and give her and her party your support as its people like her that can change this country and make things better for the ordinary person in this Tory downtrodden country.
I've found this thanks to James' mention on LBC this week. I'm really glad he did. What a breath of fresh air she really is. Not a shred of ego just a strong, focused and determined woman who will be at the centre of our political landscape for the foreseeable future. Delighted for her. Inspirational
I just burst with admiration for this lady, being from the estates myself I understand just how hard it is to 'pull yourself up' and for a single mother too, just amazing strength of character, what a fantastic leader of the party and possible prime minister she would be. She is doing a great job of 'biding her time' and keeping her head down under the Starmer regime, clearly the only reason she has survived the purge of the left by Smarmer is because she is the ELECTED deputy leader and Tory Starmer can't sack her, yet, but I have no doubt that her 'card has been marked' she sounds way too much like Mr Corbyn, and that sort of behaviour is no longer tolerated in the brave new Labour party.
Angels Rayner is simply the best example of what Labour values are about❤ MSM attack who she was s and what she stands for, why? It’s because the electorate can relate to who she is and the life she’s lived, her positivity is infectious and it is a quality that cant be manufactured! Personally I would like to see Angela as Secretary of State for a department where her skills and expertise can be fully utilised, she has so much more to offer than just being a stand in for Kier Statmer
What a fascinating, well conducted interview. Thank you James. Perceptive questions asked in a polite manner. Insightful responses let me know more about Angela Rayner and how she is likely to behave in government. She umderstands working people, I feel, and will do her best to deliver on her promises ( in which she believes). Rather thsn certain politicians who say whatever they think will get them elected and then just pass policies that benefit a small minority.

Angela I wish you strength, I wish you courage and I wish you wisdom. LABOUR, if you don't want to lose the next election, get this gritty woman into the Labour leaders position asap. It’s so strange listening to Angela . I have so many things in common with her, from having my son at 16,not finishing school to not being able to enjoy a cuddle. I think she’s amazing . She would be an amazing PM! A woman of the people ❤
Angela would certainly be a great PM, especially when you hear the nonsense Starmer speaks..
Love Angela Raynor. Strong woman, works so hard, speaks the truth. She'd make a fine PM. People say she rubs people the wrong way....only misogynists.
This is someone who's only achievement at school was getting pregnant. She left with no qualifications. I wonder what she worked so hard.
@@chrysalis4126 What makes you think I would vote for them?
Did you check before publishing your comment? A command of the English language might help you. If you listened, it was her home background that inspired her to try to make her and her son's life better.
@@lynnoorman2144 How does that benefit everyone else? Politicians are always making their lives better.
@@Andrew-rc3vh She left with no qualifications but has since worked her way up to a very respectable position. I am on my forties and this wonderful woman just gave me hope .❤
A very impressive person , a politician one could admire !
Angela is such an inspiring and likeable person. Britain is so lucky to have her in its national politics, which is otherwise bereft of such people.
Really great interview, she’s so honest.
Angela and Jess Phillips, both great MPs, both working class women. I would love to see them as leader and deputy leader of the party. Keep it real.
I must have fallen asleep and youtube started playing this interview with Ms Rayner and I woke up thinking “WHO IS THIS” … what a genuine, believable, honest, powerhouse … and I wasn’t a labour voter.
lovely woman. Honest, down to earth. We need more like her in politics.
Didn't she shack up with her friends husband?
As an ex union rep I take my hat off to this lady. Everything she says about SUITS is correct. I have been in the same situation in meetings and having done my homework in the field I stood my ground and made them look like idiots. Listen to what she says and give her and her party your support as its people like her that can change this country and make things better for the ordinary person in this Tory downtrodden country.
I'm a union rep now. And the suits still know f*ck all.
I've found this thanks to James' mention on LBC this week.
I'm really glad he did. What a breath of fresh air she really is. Not a shred of ego just a strong, focused and determined woman who will be at the centre of our political landscape for the foreseeable future.
Delighted for her. Inspirational
I think Angela Rayner is someone to admire and adore. Resonated with me on so many levels. Most of all, helping others ❤
Totally agree, she has suffragette blood flowing through her veins.
yes but she's also among the harshest critics without having any understanding of what she's criticizing.
You're absolutely insane if you think Labour are not the same as the Tories. They will finish off this country and destroy everything you hold dear.
@@alanhat5252 What does she not understand?
Please find better people to admire.
What a woman! Great interview.
I relate to this lady in lots of ways. Very inspiring
Amazing interview James's and Angela Thank you both
Angels Rayner is simply the best example of what Labour values are about❤ MSM attack who she was s and what she stands for, why?
Wonderful interview, she shows true soul, a caring compassionate woman , there to fight social injustice. Love watching her in parliament at the dispatch box.
Here in Somerset one has to vote tactically...and as such been lib dem for some years . I truly admire Angela, and hope she will be in power to make positive changes for the people of this land....we surely need it.
When people say both parties are as bad as each other, compare this to Rishi failing to pay for petrol!
How does that comparison challenge the claim?
@@willcampbell8829One is in touch with the normal person one is so out of touch he doesn't even know how to pay for petrol in a car he had to borrow for a photoshoot.
@@tonycowin Being 'in touch with the normal person' is a virtue until you disagree with what that 'normal person' says or votes for. If normal means being poor, then most normal people would rather be something else instead of being fodder for the party who want to rob their kids of the chance of a decent education.
@@willcampbell8829 Nonsense. Having the lived experience that connects you empathically to normal people is a hugely important quality for an MP to have. I've not heard a single word or seen any action from Sunak that makes me believe he possesses that quality.
It's comforting that a person who has struggled through life will be the deputy prime minister.
Hmmm, it would be even better if she were leading the party ❤

what a woman your best ever interview james ,in my humble opinion she should be Labour leader absolutely fantastic she is what ive been waiting for a principled person ,big up angela rayner .
Angela Rayner has a realistic view of the experience of life for most people. That shouldnt be 1% of politicians it should be 99%
Wow,I've always admired Ange but that's probably the most inspirational interview I've seen. Thanks James and Angela hope to see you resident in Downing Street soon as
From a fellow Angela, I heap praise on this humble, funny, fair, intelligent, creative woman. From such a humble background, knowing poverty, knowing struggle, knowing and undesrstanding mental health and its affects, has come a STRONG woman, determined to change not only her life, but to open doors to that, for others too. Angela I wish you strength, I wish you courage and I wish you wisdom.
LABOUR, if you don't want to lose the next election, get this gritty woman into the Labour leaders position asap. To not do so, will be at your own peril. The "commoner", the everyday people of this United Kingdom, will relate to her life experience and be 100% more likely to vote for her, than Sir Kier Starmer, who has literally zero undesrstanding, and zero connection with the electorate. I wish Angela all the successes she deserves in her life, for her commitment to making change and making things better. What an inspirational woman. ❤ loved this
I’m 10 minutes in and already in awe of this woman
I can see a lot of similarities between Angela and myself, our upbringing, her relationship with her kids, and I'm a union rep too.

This is so much better than James' interview with Keir Starmer. It gives me a tiny bit of hope about Labour that someone like Angela still supports Starmer.
I identify completely with Angela , so similar. I know exactly what she’s saying because I ‘ve been there, shop steward, full time official, mum couldn’t read or write but would do anything for anyone who needed help. All this motivated me in life and am thankful for what I have been able to achieve.

Anybody would come across that way if they're only asked softball questions like this..
@@magicanimalfish1029 I can't agree. Most tories would come across nothing like this if they were asked the same questions. Do you think Jacob Rees Mogg ever foundout what it was like to be hungry? Do you think Sir Graham Brady knows what the inside of a council flat looks like? Do you think Jonathon Gullis ever nursed a dying relative . . .
I'd guess they wouldn't be tories if they had proper experience of life though.

I think that's it in a nutshell! It doesn't take long before I switch off when Starmer is talking.
Angela is amazing, should be leader of the Labour Party, we need her energy and integrity.

She has Liz Cheney's smarts, AOC's compassion, and Katie Porter's fearlessness.

I wasn't very sure about Angela Rayner , but I have to say I'm very impressed!
Such a refreshing antidote to the policy vacuum and featureless landscape offered by 'Business as Usual', never say anything of substance and NEVER say anything which might cause a ripple, Starmer.
Brilliant conversation
all the pros, yes, but where are the cons? Some of the cons are devastating.
Could you imagine heating anything this honest from a Tory minister? Thank you for this, I have watched politics for a long time and it has become very much is and them. This is a reminder that there are still some people left there that at least aspire to help us poor unwashed.
