Counter wheel, the wheel has like ten of the top used/meta Pokémon and you build a team that triple counters the Pokémon that the wheel picks and hope you run into that pokemon.

Where do you get all of these XL candies? You have so many spice videos, but man, I have always wondered where you get the necessary resources for these videos?
There are a few rare ones like Salandit where I walked them as my buddy for several months, but most of the XLs probably come from trading if they're common enough in the wild. I'll just save anything I want XLs for & trade them to a friend for the guaranteed XLs.
I try to really grind events that give bonus dust like today's community day but don't play too much outside of that (unless there are specific Pokemon I'm trying to get XL candies for) because it just doesn't feel worth it. Also if you can find any nest for Shellder, Shroomish, Foongus etc that give bonus dust during those events you can go crazy with the dust gains.
ABB wheel, 1st wheel is the lead type, 2nd wheel is the type in the back. Or just a strictly type wheel, spin for a type and run a mono team
