- Miquel Barceló (1957 in Felanitx, Mallorca geboren, lebt und arbeitet in Paris und auf Mallorca), vertritt eine der führenden Positionen der Neuen Malerei, die die Kunst in den 1980er-Jahren bestimmte. Er stellte unter anderem bei der documenta 1982, Centre Pompidou, Paris 1996, im Museo de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid 1999, und bei der Biennale de Venezia 2009 aus.
In Barcelós Kunst stehen Materie und Form im direkten Zusammenhang. Das prozessuale Moment des Formens und Knetens des Materials -- ob Lehm, Ton, Erde oder pastose Ölfarbe -- sind stets im Endprodukt spürbar. Archaische Qualitäten dominieren. Hierbei geht es um das Erinnern, das kollektive Gedächtnis des Ursprünglichen und Archetypischen. Seine Werke changieren zwischen Werden und Vergehen: Sinnliche Früchte in überreifer Üppigkeit, die im nächsten Moment verrotten, zu Totenschädeln mutieren. Barceló integriert ebenso außerkünstlerische Prozesse in sein Werk, wenn der Künstler etwa Termiten seine Papierarbeiten durchlöchern lässt, oder Kaminasche seines Ateliers die Leinwand schwärzt. Natur ist eingeschrieben als sich ständig verändernde Konstante. So sind auch klassische Seestücke entstanden, Wetterbilder gleichsam, oder massive Wogen, durch dynamische Farbmassen gestaltet. Somit begreift Barceló seine Malerei und Bildhauerei als ständig wandelndes System, als einen offenen Kosmos zwischen Leben und Tod. - บันเทิง

Monstruosa pintura. Carente de armonía, belleza, mensaje y falta contenido profundo. Lo que hace ser un hijo de papá con buenas conexiones. Solo ha tenido buena suerte equidistante a su mal gusto y falta de técnica y buen dibujo. Saludos.

Amo es un pelotudo que define el arte como una copia a si mismo..lo que vendría a ser "estilo" en un mundo protegido por academias e instituciones sin relevancia ..Amo sigue con su criterio colectivo y repetido que en clase parece haber aprendido de memoria

This is an example of how the art will look when an artist has unlimited funds available and lacks conviction. It appears powerful but that is "sounding brass" when the artist is complicit in a system that is totally dysfunctional.
That said, this work could be perceived as very seductive and as such, collectable.
My best to all people left with a conscience who have the courage to call out these gate-keepers for our "Culture of Death"
