It’s impossible to hate Aokiji man, my favorite Admiral by far. Now that i think back it’s crazy how Oda already introduced such a strong charter early on on the show.
7:18 - 7:55 I just realized how much I miss moments like this, where the crew would hang-out on the ship. With all the intense things happening in OP currently ig we won't get moments like this anytime soon :(

One thing you guys should notice is that Luffy's nakamas (and mostlikely other pirates in the show) take "duel"s really seriously. It's like they are not only putting their life, but also their pride on the line, that's why even someone as loyal as Zoro won't even go help Luffy. *You can also see this in the next duel (which you guys have alrd watched assuming to Patreon)
(Pseudo-Spoilers to the next few arcs below:) Popular fan-theory is that Aokiji was not sent after the Strawhats to "Check if Nico Robin is part of the crew or not", but that he had orders there to kill them, and chose to ignore them. Nothing about that has been confirmed, but it reflects better on why exactly such a powerful person was there in the first place.
