Thanks for sharing, would be cool to have a bit of footage during events so we can see how busy it is etc. Not the greatest profits but it does make sense to get rid off some of the sets that don't perform well to create space again and get some money back.
It's not easy to film whilst you are trying to sell as you are constantly on your toes refilling , talking to (potential) customers. Otherwise I'd love to film. For some of the sets at lower profits I'm just moving them on now as they take too much space and I don't believe they will gain much more in value in the next 12-18months. Hence I'd rather get a little profit and reinvest into something better.
Great video Fred. Good to see that you have really got the Brick Festival bug now. I like how you sold your Hogwarts Express sets for £75 - i sold mine for that price too. I may try £80 or £85 next time! Very brave of you to do 3 tables at Cambridge on your own. I get stressed with 2 tables and i always have my helper with me!
Thanks! Cambridge will be tiring I reckon but we'll see how it goes.. 1 table will be just for minifigs and stuff which people like to browse through. I'm hoping it will be a good one as my main dread is having to pack up a lot of sets/boxes after the event.
Thanks as always for sharing. Am interested in what the rough percentage of expenses is compare to what you take on the day, e.g. fee for tables, car hire, petrol etc. Obviously there is the convenience of not having to pack and ship etc. which is definitely worth something! I’ve estimated it as around 20%-ish - about right or too high?
depends on the amount you sell on the day.. Cheshunt wasn't great and the fees would have been around 15-20% for Brentwood it was better and fees worked out around 10-12% with van hire included.
@@HilliansBricks Will do. A bit nervous to be honest as I don't want to be the guy trying to sell stuff at stupid prices. I have been checking ebay sold price so hoping that I have got it right..
@@adamfairbrother6242 that's a good benchmark to go by to drive sales.. If things are priced too cheap you will get other traders come and buy your stock 🙂
Are you going to the Bournemouth professional on the 7th
no I didn't manage to secure tickets for that event.
