    Hello Tiho, I have many keyboards including the 3 you mentioned but my order is very different from yours. My order is 1st Pa5x, 2nd Genos2 & 3rd Event.
    The Event is great of course but it’s got problems, the main one being how out of sync the audio tracks get during play or when switching between styles, the Audya had this problem as well but it’s even worse in the Event, it can become unplayable. You need to reset the style. As long as Ketron don’t fix this serious problem it will never be ahead of Korg or Yamaha. Thank you for your video though, they are always very helpful.

    Is the Yamaha Genos 2 100% stand alone operating keyboard instrument??
    Or you need a PC computer to program and edit some sounds and sampling sounds etc.??

      But that is very bad 👎from Yamaha.
      Yamaha think €5000 euro not enough to make fully Stand alone keyboard 🎹.

    Thanks for the video and expressing your honest opinion, appreciated it. I think you thought from the live performer's perspective, which is fine of course. Interesting if you were considering content creation, who would take the first place? :) To me it looks like korg still has the best options for on-board style creation despite its numerous limitations and lacking features... I totally agree on the whole "silence" thing from korg, it also kind of bugs me, but the chances are they will come up with the massive OS update this year. Maybe then your places in the list will change :) Ketron will also come up with new features, their engineers work hard for sure. Yamaha - who knows but probably they will remain "Yamaha" and won't add any new functionality... One thing is for sure: they're all great music instruments with their strong and weak sides. Thanks again for the video and have a nice week and a lot of good music!

    Not the Event, I know, but I bought the Ketron Lounge, and returned it after 4 days of using it.
    Sure, the midi sounds and related features shown on here are great, but the lack of quality in the guitar and vocal processing department is shocking. And for the price, I expected much better, professional level gear - similar to the guitar and vocal fx processing of the Boss Gigcaster (£200).
    I've chosen to stick with my recently aquired SD1000, (£411) record my tracks as mp4's with lyrics, and play through the GC-5 using a tablet.
    Half the price, all the best features and should be what the Ketron Lounge should be.

    I think you are right.. Korg just has one special feature: 88 keys option for the best all-in-one price. But sound wise Kor the styles on the Korg sound wooden… not lively, the mix is not as wide and dimensional as on the Yamaha Genos. Ketron surly is in it’s own league

    I'm a fan of Ketron Event. Incredible arrangements, the best arranging keyboard today in terms of sound quality.
    However, I observe many recurring complaints about problems identified in this arranger. As if it had been released to the market prematurely without testing properly. Problems with sound that freezes, lack of rhythm synchronization, freezing, etc.
    1- In your experience with this keyboard, what problems did you have with this keyboard?
    2- Would you recommend buying this keyboard or wait until it becomes more stable?

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you use Event in the studio, MIDI patterns work without problems and synchronization is OK, but if you want to use Live Instruments or Real Instruments, it is impossible because synchronization for that does not exist for now. I informed Ketron about this problem and compared it with the SD90 where it is possible to have synchronization in certain rhythms even though they use live instruments. I hope that Ketron will solve it because it is a serious matter. In addition to the MIDI pattern on which both Korg and Yamaha are based, Event work without problems and I recommend USB MIDI connection. Ketron has some problems if not used carefully, but in no case would I label it unstable. I would say more that it is a stable instrument with some problems that need to be solved and I am sure that they will be solved and I already know that a lot of things have been solved and that it will be available soon. I certainly recommend the Event or SD series to everyone because they are phenomenal sounding instruments

    😂 ketron have only 31 sample sound and stability 🤣 in 3 hours 4 freezes… Genos 2 have only 2 band eq… no possibility to edit the drums sound if I need more bass, medium or high to some parts( kick, snare..) Event have insert effect to sampler eq/compresor bat doesn’t work… and so many things… Genos 2 it’s nice and stabil but the sound quality it’s better in Korg Pa5x. Pa5x doesn’t have the same option like pa4x but I use it from 2022 and whit no issues in live performance… Ketron Event I have in 2022 February and in 3 hours live performance 4 freezing and a lot of desynchronisation…and mp3 freezing and factory sound distortion…and and and…how to be the best instrument?!? The sound and the futures it’s amazing in Event but no more…and I’m not the only one… ( There is your Coment without Linc - link does not work)

      It depends on the user of the instrument. In exactly 80% of cases, users of the instrument cause problems. I know a couple of places where the top Korg arrangers are serviced, but that's not a sign that Korg is to blame for everything. This is a sign that most people play the Korg and use the instrument incorrectly.

    I appreciate the channel, a lot of quality information. Certain innovations, yes, are well done at Ketron, but the stability of the operating system leaves much to be desired. You have problems exactly when you don't expect it and it's not at all pleasant to have this happen when you sing live ... on the other hand, the Yamaha Genos 2 proves to be just as stable and reliable, it sounds very good, you have directly accessible Registration buttons, not hidden through menus, so you set all the transitions you want in whatever combination you want (you have 10 transitions available if you want) and just press button from the panel or pedal and sing live... it's something that neither Ketron nor Korg has.

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ketron OS is quite stable. There are no problems when playing. Sometimes during editing it is possible to have a problem, but definitely when playing, and believe me, I played it non-stop, problems do not happen. Please explain to me when you have a problem and what problem. As for registration, you have the same on Korg, only we on Ketron. It's called Ketron Performance, you only have 18 of them, not 10
      and on the Korg you have SET buttons on the right side with the same function, so you know that you are not correct there. Thank you very much for your comments and opinion.

    • @emilgocan8298
      @emilgocan8298 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Tiho2012 If I know correct, Performance on Ketron is that you can load one performance for one song, not more performance for one song. In Sd9 you can have folder for a song with more registrations, but problem is that you cannot search easy for find them and you must double tap on screen to select it to change in live.. or if you want to change it with footswich with regUp and regDown, is jumping on the first from list, not inside that folder... you cannot program them to start with intros, multipads, etc to make a complex live arrangement. And in Korg if I know correct you can set that Set Keyboard, but only to change voices, not "Print Screen" on all settings with what you had set in only one button. So I have now an Ketron SD9, it sound ok, but you have lack of functions, styles, voices, comunity, etc. and I had come back to Yamaha with Genos 2 that is amazing...

    • @emilgocan8298
      @emilgocan8298 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Tiho2012And don't think that I only want to criticize Ketron, I have Sd9 and one of the very good functions is Launchpad, but even here it is incomplete... it would be perfect if you could also set the desired voices in a scene and have more, not only 6, to have the possibility of easy change live. I tried to combine it with Registration, but it is not usable, it stops when loading. So there are many unfinished shortcomings at the price asked for the flap, here is the big problem! To play, yes, it sounds better live than Yamaha and Korg, but only certain genres of music, you don't have styles created for Movie&Show, Easy Lustening, community with thousands of styles to choose from, you just need a lot of work to create from scratch ... in addition, to ask for 35 euros for a new style made on the Ketron page, seems to me again insensible!

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Performance is completely one thing and Registration is another thing. Registrations still exist in Event, but Performances are something like Set Lists with Korg, while Registrations are similar to SongBooks. I think you don't understand the role of Performance. Function Roles Registration on Genos are the same as Registration on Ketron.

    Hi Tiho, as a live performer I have used, Yamaha Tyros 5, Korg PA4 and Ketron SD90. I fully agree that Ketron gives the ‘live’ band feel. You never talk about the posibility to play WAV5.1 backingtracks on Ketron. This is unique feature that I love. Mixing live drums into midifiles makes backing tracks so much better. Yamaha is (in my opinie) the best in piano, acoustic guitar, flute, trumpet sounds. Yamaha and Korg never let me down in live situations. My Ketron sometimes does, because of volume differences between styles. (Not a big deal).
    Tiho thank you for your video’s. I learn a lot from them. Greeting from Holland.

    What I'm missing in the Ketron Event is the variety of voices (464) as they are present in the Pa5X or Genos 2 (2000). Probably the best mix is EventX/EVM and Genos 2 or Pa5X.
    Even better, Ketron presents a big voice pack at a good deal.

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How many voices do we need? It is not the number that matters, but the quality. I think that Ketron has quite a good number of styles and voices that sound phenomenal. The options for creating user voices in user styles are fantastic. If someone wants specific voices for certain countries, then there are always people who make and offer them.

      I agree with you. Where is Roland and what about the others. Perhaps there is not as much interest among buyers for arrangers as there is for workstations. But when you think about it a little more, there are other keyboard brands that make arrangers, but they are not at the professional level.

    Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec dannymormone, j'ai joué des années avec l'Audya 5 et bien que les sons solistes sont excellents l'accompagnement en revanche manque de stabilité et surtout de fluidité. Sur certains styles il y a comme des hésitations d'une fraction de seconde au moment de changer les accords surtout dans les harmonies un peu plus complexes à 5 doigts, cela n'arrives pas sur Genos ou PA5X. Quand vous écoutez bien sur des vidéos publiées vous constatez ces petits décalages, qui sont minimes mais qui sont présent partout. Je pensais que l'Event serait bien meilleur en terme de fluidité, mais c'est encore plus flagrant avec les lignes de basse audio. C'est juste mon avis.

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, you are right when it comes to Live or Real Instruments, but if MIDI Styles are used, then Event works the same as PA5 or Genos. Real or Live Instruments are an excellent option to create the feeling of a live band, but these instruments should only be used as a complement to the MIDI pattern/Style and never as a basis. This is my personal opinion based on playing on the Ketron and the experiences I have observed while playing.

    There is just one problem with Ketron Event he has to less styles. Yamaha Genos has over 800 styles , Ketron Event has 400, but I am totaly agreed that Ketron sound is the best.

      The number of styles is not important, but the quality is. A musician is not a style collector, but a person who needs enough and quality. Ketron has more than you could wish for. The others have too many, and among that number of rhythms there are at least 60% of those that nobody needs.

    Sounds of Korg Pa5x Musikant are better than in Genos 2. Styles are are better mixed in korg pa5x Musikant than in Korg pa5x International (maybe it is fixed now). Genos 2 has never better Sound than Korg Pa5x. The Styles are very good in Event, acoustic is acoustic. But you can better work with registrations on Genos 2, you need some seconds to registrate styles and sound on genos and minutes to registrate on korg pa5x. Also genos has some great modern styles.
    But I prefer Korg Pa5x Musikant and Ketron Event now. Maybe the next Yamaha will be better.
