Your problem is simple. You are running the old boxy Gen 4 that made you drive the car and track
Heat 2 and up has the "stick to the track" gen 6. That just can go flat out full throttle in the turns without brakes of most tracks
You need to use the pedal on the left. You know the brakes.

@@randomkdm Oh, no. It's not sarcastic. The PS2 version at least controls like the previous EA NASCAR games. The Xbox 360 version is glitchy as hell and the cars drive like absolute shit. The AI are incredibly stupid and the physics are unrealistic to the point that it feels like everyone is driving a goddamn monster truck. Aside from the graphics, it is worse than the PS2 port in every way.
