I like Saoirse Ronan as Jo because she gives her the touch of an Irish independent rebel. And it's good when Meg's part is stressed. Emma Watson said in an interview that Meg is a feminist because she deliberately chooses marriage and family. Meg is a great actress and loves books, and she's the head of the Pickwick club. I think it's good she is not depicted as a boring girl, but a woman who chooses love.
Greta Gerwig’s Little Women is an impossibly great film. The movie’s emotional understanding of narrative arcs and relatability of characters is unbelievable. Definitely a better feminist film than Charlie’s Angels 2019.
and comparing an action popcorn flair with a classic novel adaptation is necessary why? i just need more women's stories on screen. it is not a competition

Here we are one year later, have you seen it yet? :) I have! And her character Yelena was absolutely bad ass, so incredibly charming, heartfelt, funny and authentic without Florence's character I don't think I would enjoy or remember as much about this film, she made the film for me, she was so good, I really felt her character if you know what I mean and the russian accent was just perfect, almost all of the scenes she's in are so memorable, gosh really can't praise her enough! Average film, but Florence's top notch acting gave the fim some character, a soul and a bit of fun a bit of action, Yelena Belova is the coolest!
I'm not entirely sure if actors doing promotion is contractually obligated or voluntary to boost your own profile and awards awareness. Either way I imagine Emma Watson probably didn't want to do the promotional tour, regardless of the quality of the film, it involves a lot of travel and repetitive interview questions and playing beer pong on Jimmy Kimmel. If I were still collecting royalty checks from Harry Potter and Beauty and the Beast, I'd probably negotiate a low promotional tour into my contract.
