Great video, yes putting the pumps on land is very important, I found one other little trick to make sure it always pumps polluted water. Make sure the pumps are in a polluted area that is above level 100. Check your backpack when making the choice of placement.
Very good video and nice explaining! My acid farm is working perfectly, but as soon as i go offline everything seems top stop until im online again, i did the maths and 5 pumps + purifier should get me 2400 impure acid in 10 hours and it just stop when i go offline
Thank you for the comment and yes, It has been happening with me too, first I thought that my electric eels were the problem or my generators were a problem, however, I just figured it out that one of my cheeky bugger friends is nicking the stuff from my inv, since I gave hum the storage perms. 🤣🤣🤣
Water pumps are always giving either a single resource either alternating between two resources, f.e 1 cycle polluted, next cycle dirty and repeat. Yield for each resource is different, f.e you get 24 dirty or sea/4 polluted/1 crude per cycle. Pump being placed on the ground in polluted ares does not guarantee that you will get only polluted water, i think it might be something like "sea" level thing to it. At my base up NE pumps on ground near shore were still alternating between sea and polluted, i had to place them on a elevated area a little further inland on my territory to get polluted only.
I think now I should make a proper time lapse video of polluted water getting in the tanks, because for me it’s working fine. Where i set up my acid farm, previous location and the current location, its getting only polluted water which is good for my farm. So I don’t know, however, I’ll try to figure this one out and get back to ya. ☺️ Cheers. Thanks for the comment and this insight.
@@MadcapManeesh Hm. Maybe i didn't explain it well enough. Once pump is set down what you get from it is locked, it will always give same resources forever. When i am about to setup new pump in a territory i usually probe place first (just placing and powering it, but not piping it) to see what will come out after letting it run for 10 minutes (2 cycles). If output is satisfactory only than i pipe it to the rest of installation.
Did you have the issue yet, that if you are offline for a few hours, the waterfilter produce impure acid in a polluted are instead of purified water? Its constantly blocking my acid production since they dont pump purified water into the barrels.
@@bakaglory1992 By the statement, I’m assuming that you have connected the pipes directly from the purifier to the barrels. I would suggest connect a water tank to the barrels and fill the tank with purified water that way you won’t face this issue. Hope that helps.
I am still getting mostly polluted water when my pumps are on land but they are close to water..do you think I just need to move them further away from the water source?
Except when I lived at that location and in my current location in red sands my pumps werent and arent near any water yet they get more dirty water than polluted.
@@momogod01 here’s a trick for that then 1) Connect water pumps directly to the Purifiers via the pipes 2) put polluted water in all the slots of the purifiers, Manually . 3) Check it and re-do if you see dirty water. 4) have 15 water pumps and 2 osmosis purifiers the ones with 4 slots. Yes you can have 20 pumps and the appliances you want. I would suggest level up, unlock the Rift Anchors do the usual stuff and then you can build your base. It will be fun
My pumps are on the ground, far a way from water and in polluted zone but the moment I logout it starts collecting dirty water, is there a fix to that?
@@Grumpy_Panda yeah that has been happening since the latest update as soon as you go offline the generators have less power and the polluted water turns into dirty water
Well, Blackfell is the place to farm Crude Oil because it is Rich in Oil, However if you find a polluted area there near a water source you'll get some amount of polluted water some amount of Dirty water and more Crude Oil. So If you are looking only for Polluted water then I would suggest you move to a different location than Blackfell.
@@MadcapManeesh no my base is in the polluted zone also in the oil zone. But I'm getting 1 crude oil and 1 polluted water. Can i not make it like all polluted water
(Please read) Uhhh I did place in the ground but a little close to the water not fully on water it pumps more water than the polluted water and then I watched some videos just to realize I can farm the deviated plants to get acids (I was like bruh ) . Yeah you can grow contaminated plants to make Acid but I think the yield is lower than the farm.
