I think Richard was the second best game show host ever. Only give it to Barker because Barker did it for so long and controlled temper better. Dawson you are a God to me. King of match game and Definitely king of family feud. No other host even comes slightly close to you hosting that game. Congrats on great career. Ron
Dawson remains the greatest game show host and personality ever. He made "Match Game" watchable and then made "Family Feud" legendary. A brilliant showman. He should've hosted "Millionaire." Regis was great, but nobody can beat Dawson.
Interesting that they'd give more or less thinking time for answers based on looks. And I just can't imagine William Shatner hosting a game show (his job on that ABC show a few years ago was terrible)

For God's sake, Shane, he's 79. He used to smoke at least 3 packs a day. He's lucky to be alive today.

Dawson was great on screen, but he was universally hated on The Match Game and Family Feud by his coworkers and bosses.
