6:26 i’ve always felt uneasy about dreamies calling haechan “chocoball.” nowadays, it’s said to be because of his hair shape, but it started as a reference to his tanner skin in predebut era, and there are several examples of when haechan looks uncomfortable after they use it. i love the dreamies, and i really wish i could defend them about anything, but the casual colorism, like jisung’s comment two weeks ago, is disappointing. even if it’s not intended to be hurtful towards haechan, it could still hurt their fans, and i’m not sure all of them realize that yet. i’m really sorry to put a damper on such a fun video! i just wanted to give context to the name.
Finally someone I agree with . This 'choco ball' is obv referring to his skin .... can they just stop .. why do they always tell him he is not as fair as them ? they all look really pale , Haechan's skin tone for once is like normal ppl . If anything, he looks sexy with it, only few members of NCT have like a real sex appeal to their presence. Do they only get to look down upon him bcoz of such a petty thing as melanin, bcoz lets be real, this guy is one of the pillars of NCT dream . Don’t think too hard guys, they’re all friends so if Haechan was feeling uncomfortable, he would have told them behind the scene to not call him that way. So I believe he seem to like that nickname too.
