This music continues to be my main listening vibe no matter how old I get. Nothing better than this.

My dad had this album. He passed away in 02 but I think of him when I hear this tune.
It was my dad that got me into jazz. When I join the military is when it hit me how wonderful this music is.

I don't know why but this is really the kind of sound I picture from a distinguished and experienced black man to listen and pass this musical knowledge into his son...

First exposure was the 1981 Montreux-Detroit Jazz Festival LP, discovered in a Goodwill in Clarksburg, WV. This song stood out from the pack, as well as a track from Dexter Gordon and Stan Getz. Jimmy Heath….wow

I recommend this piece to & for people who can actually "get into it" mentally. And not a lot can. Not wired for this type music.

R.I.P Jerry "The Mouse" Clark (dj with WFSK 88.1 Nashville, TN) He would play this sometimes at the end of signing off his “Mellow Madness show. We miss you terribly!

I could listen to this beautifully crafted piece of music crafted by the Heath Brothers and company all day. The rhythmic harmonies, the vamping by the guitarist and of course the soloing of various instrumentalists are beyond description. Nothing is hurried about the playing and you could tell the musicians were digging playing for themselves and the listeners. Very uplifting in these challenging times.

Beautiful tune! I heard it on Sirius XM yesterday and is still in my head ! :) I met Jimmy Heath a few times at the IAJE in NYC many years ago. They had that conference once a year for many years for jazz educators.

The Heath Brothers are simply smooth, cool and marvelous. Seen them perform. Out of sight. Music that's here forever. Will never fade. Wonderful and gifted family.

Thank You Very Much For Posting This! I have heard this song back in 1980 on Jazz Radio WBEE (AM 1570) (now defunct) in Chicago I never knew who the artist was, but I always knew it when I heard it. This answers my 20+ year question. My late father got me into jazz and he left me his vinyl record collection of jazz. I have albums by the Heath Brothers, but not this particular one. I have always loved this song! Again, thank you for posting this!
