Both the kep1er girls cried (chaehyun cried after the performance) because they were overwhelmed by how loona took care of them and they were thankful. They didnt feel like it was a competition but rather a group. This unit is surely the best due to their chemistry alone.
I love both these groups. Loona was so precious with Chaehyun and Young Eun. Wanted, respected , encouraged and let them shine. No wonder there were tears.

My favorite stage was sun and moon! I was trying hard not to cry but I lost it in the Chuu high note. Their voices worked so well, the harmonization was perfect and they delivered so much emotion. This stage will always be special to me.
Since you mentioned Jinsoul winking at you, she actually talked about how she can’t stop winking when she sings. I think she winked like seven times in the performance. 💀 Also, the friendship Loona and Kep1er made during their time together was so nice. I get so sad about people fighting and insulting on stan Twitter, so seeing everyone on this show having so much fun together makes me feel so happy. :3

I think it's really cool that with all the explosive performances there are at queendom 2, there's still room for a terse ballad just showcasing god-tier vocals. Hyolyn shows she can do it all while it feels like MInyoung was meant to sing that song.
I prefer a harmonious and beautiful vocal rather than a strong high note vocal, or is it just me? but I like SUN AND MOON unit more rather than the other performance. Their harmonious vocal seem like a real group that has been debut for years
"such a mature voice but looks so young" is really accurate for Chaehyun- she was an SM trainee with a lot of the Aespa members, but didn't get a chance to debut, until she participated in Girls Planet 999 (which formed Kep1er) last year. There was a vocal performance in that where she stood out (My Sea - Girls Planet 999). And this is coming from me a Loona stan LOL. Chuu ultimate bias hahahaha

LOONAxKEP1ER Sun and Moon unit have the best chemistry out of all the new vocal units formed in the show (in my opinion). The vocal units of loona let kepler's ChaeHyun and YoungEun to shine and showcased more of their singing skills to the point that the two girls were emotional because they have a performance they all have enjoyed, cherished and with loona. All the unit performances were great but what stands out for LoonaxKep1er was their chemistry. Loona have adopted ChaeHyun and YoungEun on loonaisland and gave them honorable residence. I also loved VIVIZxWJSN unit and BGxHyolin sbnm ♥️. Can't wait for Dance Units to perform next week. Thank you for this reaction vids 😁

Some thoughts/info on Sun and Moon's Don't Go performance; Yes the song's Korean title is 나비소녀 (Butterfly Girl). They were juggling between IOI's Downpour and this song, and Chuu was one of those who strongly suggested that they should do Don't Go. And as you know, LOONA's first comeback title track was the song called Butterfly. That promotion period and beyond was one of the hardest and yet exciting period for LOONA and their fans; polarised receptions of the song, Jaden Jeong's departure (he was their Creative Director), and the cancellation of the album called "La maison LOONA" (a.k.a LOONA the ballads), and HaSeul's hiatus. Then they came back with So What; yet another song that received (perhaps even stronger) polarised reaction. In a way it seemed LOONA will be berated no matter what they do (BTW these criticism or the refusal to accept/acknowledge their work was not just from Korea but also overseas). Nevertheless, partly having to do with some sheer luck I must admit, they managed to receive the first No. 1 in music shows (Mnet Countdown). HaSeul in the past had said when they become No. 1 in a music show they will all bow to the audience and they did so (HaSeul was of course not there). So as you said while watching their performance "The way they are singing, it sounds like when I am going through something and they are helping me to get better" I am sure you would have felt it even more strongly if you followed their work up to So What or at least up to Butterfly then watched this. Especially with HaSeul singing as well. Also the lyrics of Butterfly and Don't Go have many parallels (although different people wrote the lyrics). In addition to YoungEun, at the end of the performance ChaeHyun also cried. When asked why, she said, roughly translating, "The way they accepted us and cared for each other as a part of the team was overwhelming; I felt so warm and was thankful."

i like the presentation of sun & moon something that not many notice is the interpretation of the stage that goes along with the lyrics, in the original song the group is falling in love with the butterfly girl and enters a world of butterflies but in the version of loona and kep1er it shows us butterflies that are trapped on TV and the girls sing to them, they show them a forest in the 1st chorus but they are still trapped in the 2nd chorus, it shows them the universe, space and butterflies, seeing that there is much beyond what they know, they are encouraged to discover this new world. something like be free do not be afraid.
I think some people would put loona and kep1er's perfomance last in their rankings since their song choice required less powerful vocals and high notes, but what made them stand out for me is their chemistry and the emotions that they made me feel especially in the last chorus. This has been the hardest set of perfromances to rank so far since every group sang from their hearts, performed well, and had excellent song choice. But idk man, kep1er and loona gave me real goosebumps.
frr they all did great and tbh i finally decided to rank them last only because, while it was harmonious and eerily and i loved that, i dont vibe that much with stages that are people just standing in the same place for all the song, like i would've loved if they used more parts of the stage like other performances did. Replaying Chuu's highnote is natural, that was the highlight of the performance - even Mnet repeated it twice during the airing LOL! Chuu was the standout vocalist from the first performance for me.
sun and Moon did great. they are right, when u have a lot of people it's easier to harmonize and sounds beautiful. group 33 sent me on a roller coaster of emotions. M needed to sing that song. the show seemed to be hurting her confidence so it was good to hear her confidently take that one. the emotion in Hyolyns voice was just gut wrenching. the woman is a beast! the 2 of them together with a stripped down stage letting the vocals speak for themselves was truly empactful. honestly group 2 has 3 women with beautiful voices... but it just seemed like 3 women singing a song. there was a disconnect for me. like when they walked together I thought "oh yay the song will build and they will harmonize and make magic" but instead I got a belted note and them continuing to individually sing. maybe it just wasn't the song for them.
The song "Hold my hand" that was sung by WJSN and Eunha is an OST that got as popular as a title track released by IU. That might be the reason why the melody is not preferable by you.
Vocal units really did a great job. It's the hardest to rank tbh because they all showcased differently. Loona/kep gave us beautiful harmonization it's sweet and they chose the perfect song that matches their vocal quality. wjsn girls gave powerful vocals and control then eunha's voice gave it a bit of flavor + production wise, they're the best. meanwhile minyoung & hyolyn touched my soul. 1. 33; 2. sun and moon; 3. universe

Since you mentioned Hyolyn’s voice as unpolished, I want to share some knowledge with no offense. It’s not sound perfect or polished because singers try to use this kind of technique to show the raw emotion.And actually singing like breathing or crying is extremely difficult. Require highly breathing control and support. Especially when you sing high note like this, it will be extremely easy to crack or just suddenly silent. But Hyolyn did that with belting and nailed it again and again. The only thing I can say is I feel bad for other girls bc this woman is on another level. If Mnet want a fair fight, Hyolyn is someone shouldn’t be invited lol.

Honestly, sun and moon was my favorite stage, it was filled with just so much emotion and technically it’s extremely impressive too, they only had a week to train but they harmonized SO WELL as if they were their own group! Songs do not need to be filled with unnecessary high notes to be good I think the wsjn x viviz stage got more attention because of the prop filled stage, but I think their performance was lacking a bit and the high nature of the song + too many high notes is not my thing, it hinestly hurts my ears since I suffer from sound sensitivity :’))

i really Did Not like wjsn/viviz performance.. to me it felt pretty disjointed; i felt like yeonjung's powerful voice didnt work well with eunha's soft one. since they went in /hard from the very beginning, there was no real sense of momentum over the course of the song- it sort of stays the same throughout. yeonjung's vocals are obviously phenomenal, but the way she performed the song doesnt really hit: it feels like shes just trying to prove what a great singer she is instead of performing the song the best she can which is admittedly just something that rubs me the wrong way.. like she does //too much while the other two dont quite give enough. for sun and moon, i thought the song itself was beautiful, esp the harmonies, but i felt it was a shame that they sort of just stood there on a platform instead of putting together something more. 33 has the best /performance, i thought the lightposts were beautiful and its pretty tangible, how much the song means to both of them. minyoung in general i think brushes against some of the same problems as yeonjung, in that in some cases i think she tries to give it a little too much power, but i think hyolyn's guidance really helped her in this case and her lower register so sooo beautiful.
i dont think yeonjung is trying to prove anything because she already proved herself last round, soobin was indeed trying to prove herself because she hasn't had an opportunity, I think it might disjoint because of how powerful her yeonjungs voice is and how each member pushes the note in different ways they obviously cant reach it the same way and they don't have the same voice or power so OF COURSE it will sound different they have different voices and tones its just that yeonjungs has more technique and her voice is stronger so for her to reach the note she made it kinda heavy, for eunha and soobin is different for their voices when trying to reach notes their voices become lighter and thinner. Overall in my opinion the result was good but their voices are way to different and it shows that's why it can lead to feeling disjointed.
My fave is WJSN x ViViZ stage. I think they are the only ones with vocals complementing each other in terms of their vocal strength. LOONA x Kep1er did good, but there was no one who were outstanding vocally, it was like a church choir performance. And we all know the last performance was carried by Hyolyn who tried not to outshine Minyoung, but eventually overdid it. Yes, it was a performance to touch peoples' hearts, but it didnt touch mine. It was a bit MEH for me.

i really Did Not like wjsn/viviz performance.. to me it felt pretty disjointed; i felt like yeonjung's powerful voice didnt work well with eunha's soft one. since they went in /hard from the very beginning, there was no real sense of momentum over the course of the song- it sort of stays the same throughout. yeonjung's vocals are obviously phenomenal, but the way she performed the song doesnt really hit: it feels like shes just trying to prove what a great singer she is instead of performing the song the best she can which is admittedly just something that rubs me the wrong way.. like she does //too much while the other two dont quite give enough. for sun and moon, i thought the song itself was beautiful, esp the harmonies, but i felt it was a shame that they sort of just stood there on a platform instead of putting together something more. 33 has the best /performance, i thought the lightposts were beautiful and its pretty tangible, how much the song means to both of them. minyoung in general i think brushes against some of the same problems as yeonjung, in that in some cases i think she tries to give it a little too much power, but i think hyolyn's guidance really helped her in this case and her lower register so sooo beautiful.
i dont think yeonjung is trying to prove anything because she already proved herself last round, soobin was indeed trying to prove herself because she hasn't had an opportunity, I think it might disjoint because of how powerful her yeonjungs voice is and how each member pushes the note in different ways they obviously cant reach it the same way and they don't have the same voice or power so OF COURSE it will sound different they have different voices and tones its just that yeonjungs has more technique and her voice is stronger so for her to reach the note she made it kinda heavy, for eunha and soobin is different for their voices when trying to reach notes their voices become lighter and thinner. Overall in my opinion the result was good but their voices are way to different and it shows that's why it can lead to feeling disjointed.

My fave is WJSN x ViViZ stage. I think they are the only ones with vocals complementing each other in terms of their vocal strength. LOONA x Kep1er did good, but there was no one who were outstanding vocally, it was like a church choir performance. And we all know the last performance was carried by Hyolyn who tried not to outshine Minyoung, but eventually overdid it. Yes, it was a performance to touch peoples' hearts, but it didnt touch mine. It was a bit MEH for me.
