Hey i have a question. How much did you pay out the door for your 1le. I went yesterday to go look at a 2020 1ss 1le they advertised it for 44k and with all the fees taxes and incentives they wanted 50k. Not even incorporating my credits apr rate.

With that said, any car purchase made more than 6 months ago doesn't represent the current market. 44k for a 1ss 1le isn't too bad considering the current market and what other 1le's are going for at the moment. However, I'm not sure what kind of "fees" outside of loan interest would make it jump from 44 to 50k. Sales tax and DMV fees should be closer to about $3k, seems that dealer was trying some funny business on you. The best way to go about getting a car is to secure the loan with your bank or credit union, before even setting foot at the dealership. That way you know how much you can spend and what your interest rate will be, therefore, you'll pretty much know what your monthly payment could be. Once the loan is figured out, call or email the dealer and negotiate the "out the door price". You can research your local sales tax and DMV fees to figure out what the bottom line sale price is going to be. The worst thing you can do is show up at the dealer without this knowledge, they will eat you alive if you don't. When I bought my 2ss they tried to sneak in some $600 "car alarm" that wasn't previously disclosed I stood my ground and told them I wasn't interested in paying for that. They had no choice but to disable it and remove the fee. With all that said, 44k for a 2020 1ss 1le is about what it would cost to order a new one with zero miles and full warranty. Unless you have to have it right this minute, I'd suggest ordering one. It would take a while to get it, but worth it in my opinion if you're already spending 44k+ on the car.

Another fun watch. I worked for the corporate machine for over 30 years. Brutal commute driving my second-hand Toyota Camrys every day. SS 1LE was a retirement gift to myself. All that corporate crapola is literally in my rear-view mirror. I look forward to driving again, even just to escape now and then. Sometimes no reason necessary! You’re still a much better driver than I’ll ever be; keep it up as long as you’re having fun 😎😎

You've got the right idea--great car for canyon drives. I do the same thing. Sold my 550 Mustang GTPP to my son. Your vids are informative as I am weighing my choice of upcoming pleasure ride between the 1le and Widebody Scat Pack manuals. Recommendation: Do your map recon and try heading east from I-15 at Temecula to the Salton Sea through Riverside and Imperial (yuck) counties. Great drive.

Hey man, you probably know this but I want to ask. The gas you need to put as per the manual, or at least as per the 2021 camaro ss manual, is 93. It states you can put 91 but with a loss in performance. What are your thoughts on that?
@@Hot-1LE Buy 100 octane race fuel and its simple you go fill your tank like normal with 91 and you add in how ever much race fuel is needed to get you to around 93. Yes the race fuel is expensive but your using not alot of it for every fill up and you don't have to do it every fill up just when you want to do spirited drives.
Sharing another great experience with this car. Go buy a 1le and put it on a random road. I never made it to Frisco, it was all about the drive.

Here in CA we only get as high as 91. So that's what we all run. It will produce slightly less power than 93 but not much we can do about it.

You can run 87 but 91 or 93 is suggested
