    Honestly I love my omega. I don't care all that much about lumbar support, it just doesn't seem to do much for me, maybe because I have a strong core? But the problem is I do have lower back issues and also I'm skinny and my butt is bony. I've found the seat is the most important thing when it comes to my back. If the seat is firm, back is fine. If it's soft and plush my back is destroyed. So I did this dance for years of trying to find something firm enough to keep my back in good condition but without my butt hurting. I spent maybe four months sitting on a straight up wooden chair with a piece of yoga mat on it.
    For me, they've found the goldilocks zone. I can sit in this thing for 8+ hours and my back and butt are both fine, but I can see how for some people it's simply too firm, especially if you're heavier than I am. My only complaint is that I wish it had an adjustable headrest instead of the dinky pillow, cause my neck and shoulders do get a bit sore since they're not really supported by anything, my head is never really touching the pillow when I sit, unless I'm reclining.

This tilted position will allow your back to just naturally fall onto the backrest on a comfortable position. It sounds odd but for me the back pain was a good thing. I bought a Titan based on my height and weight. The first few days I had lower back pain but it went away. It turns out I had horrible posture and was slouching for 12 hours a day in my old chair. This chair almost forces you to sit up straight.
    Now some weeks later, I sit up straight in my chair and I don't have any back pain even after sitting 8+ hours in it. Putting the included headrest pillow behind your back as a lumbar support pillow was helpful in the beginning.
    As a side note, I haven't seen any reviewer talk about how this chair can tip forward. If you're the type of person that sits at the very front edge of a chair, you might want to pass on this. I think due to the recline function, this chair can tip forward if you sit too far to the front. There's even a warning on the instructions saying don't sit in the front. But realistically, it's bad posture to sit in the front anyways so no big deal.

    I have the PU leather one and yeah, it's very firm. The first few days my lower back was killing me, but after an adjustment period I sit on it for hours on end with minimal discomfort. One thing I have noticed is that my recurrent lower back pain is gone. I think that this chair has helped me tremendously to correct my posture and my back thanks it for it. My butt does get a bit sore from time to time but it's not to the point that it's unbearable. Good review!

      I feel the same way. I've had my Titan for a little over 2 weeks. The first week was fine. But the last 5 days have been tough. I work from home and sit in this chair for 10+ hours a day (I know, a lot). It's probably longer than I should, but coming from a $99 office chair, I figured a $450 chair should be much better. I am hoping I can ride this discomfort out as it corrects my posture. It's taken a bit to get it dialed in, and I am still working on it. It is definitely very firm - I just purchased a lower back pillow from Amazon in hopes it will counter the firmness (although I am upset because for a chair this expensive, you wouldn't expect to have to buy a $25 pillow.

  • @harris7412
    @harris7412 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Everything that I write comes from personal experience since I own a titan softweave. I have owned it for 3 months now and I am pretty happy. First of all the materials are excellent from the base of the chair to the fabric you just have to take good care of it and not spill any drinks over it. As for the size because I am 6 1 it was no problem for me but i still contacted their support just to be sure. When I contacted them they sed that the size is one of the most important factors and a lot of people think it doesn't matter when it really does. As tou sed you had posture problems with your back and that's mainly from the size of the chair. The lambar support is especially built for the height recommend and anything over or under it will cause discomfort. I tested it with my mum she is 5 6 and she found it pretty rough. The structure is rough and as you sed it forced your body in a good posture angle which i find is really good since i had posture problems and they were all resolved. This chair is built for many hours of work or gaming and that's the reason why it is not puffy. Lastly it needs to be customised to your body. Dont think anything crazy thought. Just a few tweaks here and there from the height to the angle of the back seat.
    If you have any problem leave a comment i will be checking since i think this review is not accurate.

    Deadmau5, one of my favorite musicians of all time, promoted this chair on his social media. There's a deadmau5 Titan 2020 model which looks fantastic, so I took the gamble and bought it... big mistake! Everything about the chair is awesome except for the most important part, the comfort! The seat feels like a rock and my butt gets super hot after 10 mins of sitting on it! No joke! I'm tall, but not fat so I should not have any issues. I tried wearing different pants and shorts, and they all had the same result.
    I can't believe some people say they are able to sit in there for 8 hours and feel no discomfort at all. I'm gonna give it a few more days, but I'll most likely end up returning it.

    I have the exact same chair and I strongly disagree, but it should be noted that there is no one size fits all chair out there.
    I'm someone who deals with a lot of chronic muscle and joint pain, and my Titan Softweave has been a game changer for me. I tried about 50 chairs at an office surplus store locally, and I couldn't find one that could replace the Serta chair I had previously. The Serta chair was comfortable but deteriorated very fast. I ended up trying this one at my friend's place, and I immediately fell in love with the way it formed to my body and corrected my posture. I've had my Titan for 5 months and I'm extremely happy with the way it has made me feel. The build quality is also excellent, as they use a lot of metal components. It also has a decent amount of customization. I would personally would recommend this chair, but see if you can find a way to try it first before you drop that much coin on one.

    Finally someone feeling the same as me! I am still withing the return window and wonder if I should keep it or give up because my butt really hurts sitting in it for a longer period of time. Something else I've noticed is that the seat reaches out too far, so if I not sit in a proper upright posture I start loosing blood in my legs, maybe because it's so stiff. To make it worse, the lumbard support is to far down for me so it doesn't give me any support at all but instead it gives a bulk in your back so is forced to not use it.

    I bought a 2022 version and surprisingly, it makes my lower back pain worse. I tried adding lumbar pillow, all the adjustments, etc to no avail. In the end I had to return it and they're nice about it, even sent a disassembly instruction. But even with the instructions, it's a challenge to remove the piston because it is designed to friction-fit on both ends. Eventually I was able to take it apart and ship it back. They gave me a full refund. Of course I had to pay return shipping myself. The amazing thing is, when they shipped it to me, the shipping label says 70 lbs. When I shipped it back, UPS weighted it to be 78 lbs -- it gained weight! After this ordeal I'm afraid to order another gaming chair. Now I have no gaming chair, I don't know what to do.

Whereas, the Titan XL is better suited for people who weigh between 100 and 160kg, and are up to 208cm. Being on the cusp of a different size made it challenging to pick between the Titan and the Titan XL. The significant different in price also made the purchase process a little harder. I hope that I don’t regret my decision. I doubt that I will but I just wish the brand provided additional advice to those who sit literally right on the edge of different sizes... • @ICrashALot
    @ICrashALot 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Just got my Titan XL yesterday and after sitting on it for few hours I can truly say that it really does not live up to the hype.
    Main issues are the lack of option to adjust compared to any proper office chair:
    - The seat is way too high (I am not a short guy, 185cm). Even at lowest position I can't reach the floor properly.
    - The arm rests can't be raised high enough.
    - There is no adjustments for height of back
    - There is no adjustment for seat (can't slide it back/forward)
    - There is no adjustable head rest. The pillow is not a solution. The main body is there only to make the company logo show in webcam.
    Regarding the butsupport:
    - The front of the seat is too square and is pressing against thighs, this combined to fact that the seat is too high (can't get feet to ground), it is making it very uncomfortable to sit.
    - The seat is SUPER firm. It is pretty close to sitting on styrofoam, as said. As such I like firm seat, BUT the XL model is so wide that the side support is not doing anything, so it is like sitting on a flat board of styrofoam.
    Regarding XL model: I am a big guy, the kind who can't fit to amusement rides but I have to keep all adjustments to minimum. Except the arm rests. I can't figure out for what kind of body this chair is designed for? Apparently for someone who has huge legs, is incredibly fat and has a very short torso. This propably is nice to sleep in, but to sit for a full day... No.
    The build quality seems ok and sturdy, but for example the paddles to adjust the seat are flimsy, the tilt mechanism is sloppy and wobbly etc.
    The packaging was outstanding, as were the instructions to assemble.
    I have quickly come to the conclusion, that although being a top end gaming chair, this still is a GAMING chair:
    - Looks nice
    - Great unboxing experience
    - Lots of hype
    - Cost more than it should
    - Isn't really that great when compared to proper high end products
    Without the huge return costs, I would return it. But I will probably end up selling it to someone locally, too.

    Brutally honest comment: Those chairs are designed in Singapore with an average Asian body shape in mind. Even the Titan which caters to the western population does so. And even tho the specs say it can be technically loaded with 220lbs, that does not imply it would be anywhere as comfortable as say with 120lbs. I think that especially heavier people will experience this as the material compression is just way higher. It would be interesting to see on each review the body weight and height of the user.

    To be honest, I was about to pull the trigger on this chair a few months ago. A couple dozen hours of research in, and I'm sold on Herman Miller. One thing that really stood out to me was that all of the highest rated chairs were all engineered to offer support and stability from an engineering standpoint rather than a choice of material. Yes, material choice is important, but they don't rely solely on material to provide comfort and support.
    Also, I noticed that you had briefly displayed the very article from SecretLab that made me turn away from them completely. In that article, they kept highlighting how their choice of cold cure foam was the best for support. They also used a picture to show the proper sitting position using their chair but if you look closely, the only point of contact with the back of the user seems to be that lumbar pillow. I then decided that it would be silly to spend 500 bucks on a chair whose back rest I would only be using to prop up the thing that's actually giving me "support". Contrast this with the design of the Herman Miller chairs and you immediately see that the entire seat is designed to give support in a way that could be tailored to the individual rather than supplying pillows or other add-ons as a band-aid fix.
    There's also a huge difference in their warranty service. From what I could gather, SecretLab can be either very difficult or very easy to work with, but the user would still be responsible for actually executing any repair or part replacement. Herman Miller, on the other hand, will foot the bill for any needed repairs on their products. And I don't think I have to explain why Herman Miller's 12-year DEFAULT warranty is just the best in the business. What does SecretLab offer?... IF you do their social media gimmick nonsense, they'll give you a 5-year warranty and YOU foot the bill for any repair costs and shipment fees in the event that the product needs to be replaced. It's not even close, folks. I'd sooner pay $1,500 for something that is made by an industry leader and proven to last over a $500 hard-as-a-rock, unproven product that really is just appealing to the current "gaming" aesthetic.

Although I'm still interested in the chair, do you think the comments saying you shouldn't have gotten a size up have any merit? Or do you stand by your thoughts of that the buttpadding should be the same throughout the chairs? Just curious! Thanks

      The fact I came across someone who had an Omega and had a similar experience leads me to believe the result would've been the same. They advertise themselves as being a hard chair, with flip flops on I reached the ground no prob, it was purely a padding issue.

    Thanks for your HONEST review, as I was looking into buying the TitanXL myself to replace the AKRacing I currently have. I recently purchased the AKRacing MAX and I'm experiencing the same issue with the seat. It's harder than I thought it would be, but it also isn't as thick as I would like. I bottom out the cushion and can feel the steel support underneath. Also, the way the stitching is made on the inner side of the chair, it digs into my glutes and causes pain after sitting in in for less than an hour. I suffer from sciatica and my chair is worse than a Staples chair I bought 5 years ago. I really need to find a good chair, with a good cushion that will not cause me pain, any suggestions are welcome?

    I have a 4yr old DXRacer Pro series chair that I've found very comfortable even with my lower back issues and have had no problems so far. FYI, I am 6'3" slim build, ~215lbs. One thing I did notice with the DXRacer, the seat foam was quite firm when I received it. But over a period of time, it molded quite nicely and became very comfortable. This brings me to my current situation. I'm giving this chair to my son and decided to purchase the Titan Softweave chair as my replacement. I'm hoping the seat foam is the same as the DXRacer I've had. Anyone else can confirm this? Cheers!

    the titan and the titan XL have a leveled seat base, and the Omega is the only one that has what they call a snug fit seat base, I'm 90% sure that the leveled seat base was the problem to your lower back pains.

    • @JacobDarkOfficial
      @JacobDarkOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had comments with similar body types say they liked the Titan so I think it's a matter of personal preference, some people are coming from sitting on wood chairs so it's not an issue while some like me have been in soft office chairs their whole lives so it seems hard. @@JacobDarkOfficial 2 days with the omega made my outer thighs feel bruised from pressing up against those hard upturned side pieces on the seat (i'm only 5ft 4, 135lb). Did the edges of the titan feel much more rigid? The omegas sides have some very hard padding - much firmer than the seat - it will sooner dig into you than give way at all.
      I don't understand how people are managing to sit on this, I find pressing my legs in enough to avoid touching those sides leaves me only 2 inches inner thigh gap - which I don't think is sufficient for anyone with male anatomy.

    @MarkFarge 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the PU leather Titan and I will admit that it is very firm. I’ve owned mine for almost 2 years and it hasn’t gotten any softer over time. The one negative I have is how relatively poor the leg support is either side of my thighs. I was it would be more contoured at the sides, like the omega. Overall the build quality is excellent, the materials used are second to none and PU leather is extremely durable and will resist daily usage very well.
