He looks like he's hardly doing anything. Geordie had a great presence and tremendous range. His guitar was aggressive, abrasive, eerie, but also ethereal and magic. Rip Geordie, Prague will never forget
I'm so glad Big Paul is back drumming with them after the long hiatus. He's such an integral part of Killing Joke, as we can clearly see during this period and in this video.
Geordie nodded my way when I shouted lyrics from "Asteroid" to the stage. (House of Blues) "Here's one who pays attention," he likely thought. Thanks, Geordie!
OMG! Thank you for this awesome upload from the greatest band EVER! Love like blood is a song I HAVE TO LISTEN TO EVERYDAY!………and have been since 85 ,I started as a kid’’’😎
One of my first live gigs! They were so out of tune with the other acts of that evening, it was just funny to see the shock with the majority of the audience. I think Jaz managed to empty a bottle of scotch during the set.
Quel intensité, quel line up,quel show en cette belle année 1985 ( j'étais un enfant de 7 ans en cette année...) . Vue trois fois en concert, merci du partage.
14:45 Paul Ferguson the drummer does a rare and powerful vocal turn! kills me every time: "now i see you with a social degree!! three cheers for the nuns you fuck! "
The lyrics are actually a bit more 'aggressive'. And to be honest it makes it the best part of the song. He's actually singing: "Look at the controller A Nazi with a social degree A middle-class hero Rapist with your eyes on me A priest of masturbation A priest, yeah, to the nuns you fuck You'd wipe out spastics if you had the chance But Jesus wouldn't like it, no"
Sounds great. I know KJ are about power and energy but I can tell, for once, it's not deafening here. Sheer volume ruins balance and nuance all too often. I wish I'd seen them during this period for that reason.
1985 ain't the "early days" try 1978/9 even 1980 that's when they were really raw. They'd released 5 albums by 85. I stopped going to see them after Hammersmith 82. Too many people jumping on the bandwagon and the dreadful TOTP Empire fiasco.
@@radioniradion1241 No one expected this at the front so we where falling over people in wheelchairs and making a big party with the real Fans 👊🏽 the host of the program wasn't amused 😂😂😂
Geordie's tone is unmistakable and original.
Indeed, one of the greatest.Really strong & intense. RIP.

❤
Jaz Coleman hypnotic vocals with Geordie's atmospheric guitars, and that tribal drum and bass section
I totally agree.
Genius
Jaz Coleman is on fire here! Dancing, being a bit playful...even smiling!? Bravo!!!!
RIP Geordie.❤
Incredible drumming!!!
Paul Ferguson
Great everything
They have been on the top since their inception, such an amazing band. I have been a fan for decades, never gets old.
Killing Joke one of the best bands ever
I'm so glad Big Paul is back drumming with them after the long hiatus. He's such an integral part of Killing Joke, as we can clearly see during this period and in this video.
Pssyche... Never gets old.
Bloody Hell. Kings And Queens sounds as good as the record. Impeccable tone, balance and mix. Awwww I wanna be there. Wahhhhh!
Geordie does, what ever he did....standing on the left, playing his part and beeing a cool man...👍
He's an amazing guitarist &so damn pruddy to look at!!!🚿😏🤭🤤😁
Remember videotaping this in 1985 and playing it over and over. What a band!
Geordie nodded my way when I shouted lyrics from "Asteroid" to the stage. (House of Blues) "Here's one who pays attention," he likely thought. Thanks, Geordie!
One night in Los Angeles , I saw Killing Joke and Tom Verlaine at different venues on the same night. 🎸 For the ages ! 😎
Great version of Night Time.
I have been to 7 shows of KJ,
I’ve never seen Geordie go and get feedback from the Amps like that. Brilliant
I think I recall the same effect on Rockpalast from the same year. Of course, on YT, I wasn't born yet at the time :)
You've been blessed
Perfection!
one of the most awesome televised performances across Europe since Genesis TV performance in Belgium back in 1972
Yea cool mate I love early genesis and KJ ,ace bands aca times ha!
What a superb band and vocalist. Their songs are amazing. The lead vocalist Jaz can sound like lemmy from motorhead
KJ influenced loads of Dark Wave, Death Metal acts over last 3 decades.
This music is classy!! Their one of the very best bands!
This is AMAZING!
Brilliant musicians.

15:23 jazz is intense always, but here he turns it up to 11!!
#RIP Geordie , the world lost so much.
This also sounds better than the album version. I soooo want to see KJ play live.
It's brilliant, couldn't agree more. Preferably in Asia eg Indonesia
Long Life to Killing Joke 😊

erik de zwart.... Was dit het festival met King?
Really was a different world back then wasn't it?
Shit man even just 5 years ago it was a different world.

whoever filmed this did an ace job
I love you Enrico Macias!!!!
On voit les prémisses de ce qu'ils sont devenus !!!! 👏👏👏... Continuez les mecs !!!
One of the greatest bands to ever create music. You won't hear a sound or lyrics as gripping as Killing Joke.
Superbe, merci.
Génial
Saw them at Bristol during this era, thought the balcony I was viewing from would collapse- it was so loud hehe
They were all good guys I spoke to all of them jaz raven and geordie especially.
Wow!! Thx for uploading!!
Raven and Big Paul allowing Jaz and Geordie their whipped cream delights to eat up
deliciously.
Jaz coleman c est le père karras possédé par pazuzu. Excellent frontman et grand groupe !
This still fucking rules.
RIP Geordie 1964-2023.
They killed it, as usual
13:53 The Geordie Shuffle.
Nice, but camera guys missed Big Paul's vocals on the last verse of Pssyche.........
That guy introducing I swear is where Paul Whitehouse got the Dutch Smashie/Nicey and his Dutch policeman

Thanks for sharing..

Pretty amazing, considering the fact that 'TROS' has always been a very conservative public service broadcaster.

Endlessly inspired by Geordie and KJ - Honour the Fiya.

With ads from another time.
Geordie got me stoned backstage.
Me too. I once interviewed him and we got absolutely wrecked!!😝
surprised they got away with Pssyche!
What the fukk do you mean ? ´PSSyche` should had been the A side of the single ,probably my personal favourite Killing Joke song live these days .
It's a little fast tho
Fucking drums

What kind of Bass is that, and whatever happened to that bass player? He doesn’t seem to be with them anymore.

The abridged version of the last song pisses me the fuck off.
