I bought an S35VN model in OD Green during a Cold Steel Summer Sale. I like the knife. It is the only Cold Steel folding knife that I own in that steel. Everything else is in 8CR13MOV, CTSBD1, or AUS10A.
Love mine, it's not going anywhere. Wish I'd caught the very short lived XHP version. I guess it was an overall short lived design. The Black Talon 2 is pretty much my all time favorite knife, wish they'd do an XL and DLC version. I do have two of the Lynn Thompson Voyagers Ltd to 2000. DLC/XHP/fully serrated monsters. I also somehow found a limited edition DLC/XHP/fully serrated 6" Counterpoint XL I hadn't even known existed for around $100 and change, unused. The new serrated Spartan looks awesome, and the 6" serrated Kris ti-lite is a hell of a deal. Still searching for a Colossus 2, which would probably satisfy my deadstock CS knifehunt. Subbed and liked for your taste in knives, presentation style and the death metal, or black metal in the background (think I heard some synth)
@@montycasper4300 No, I got it in s35vn. It seems like it was one of the quickest models to swap steels, and to disappear altogether. Must have fallen right on the cusp of the switch from XHP. I wonder why they dumped it! That'd be another cool model to bring back, and to XL. Sometimes I wonder what made them decide to add Demko plates to certain models and not others. And they were even doing some 20CV for a while, I don't know how they justified keeping the 4Max at the same price despite swapping out 20CV for s35
@@jslaughterofthesoul4939 Agree, carries well and the wave feature on that particular model seems to work from any clothing. Unique looking blade that has practical applications. I can think of half a dozen in their current line up that don't meet any of those requirements, so the sole criteria seems to be sales, which is understandable, however inexplicable the lack of customer interest is to me.

I'm not that interested in cold steel. I was gonna buy this found out they discontinued it f cold steel
