Coming back to cardboard after a long hiatus since Pepe format. Do archetypes like this one generally make good investments as support is added over time or is that uncommon?
That's hard to answer. But I do think the best way to see what can do well long term is to look at OCG trends. It's how we knew that Fire King would be an incredible deck
This one was kind of a letdown for me. Last year's maze premier strategy, Gate guardian set the bar high. It was super affordable, surprisingly powerful, true to its theming, and a lot of fun. An absolute love letter to fans. It even had the bonus of synergizing with Kashtira. On the ither hand, Flame swordsman didn't really do any of that. A bunch of the cards are ultras, the gameplay isn't all that interesting, and all of the card artworks kind of look the same. It falls into the winged dragon of ra category of "Expensive, but not worth it"

Wow. So many things were wrong in this video. You do know many of the infernoble knight card can just equip from deck. Droll then and see them look at you and laugh while they keep their plays going. They can also equip the false swordsman cards as well. Then there is ready fusion and instant fusion which can still get them to their boss even though droll and shifter. They have like 15 1 card starters so when if you stop 1 or 2, their end setup will be the same
flame sword has indeed consistency but what about power? Just hit once in a 10K isn't enough, ra can do better and is still just a fun deck. Popping a card like drident isn't good if it is only that. It is cool but even with infernobles the deck is at the best ok.
@@koraptenshi8709 why is everything you said wrong. first, it can hit twice with over 10,000 damage. outside of some very vary vary rare upset, not many cards can get to that this easy and it laughs at ra. second, it can remove 2 cards one on your turn and one on your opposite's turn, it can also just flip down 2 cards and fusion summon on your opposite's turn by returning the cards back to the deck so you never really run out of cards. so that ra, goodbye. and even after all of that, you have to attack up to 10 times to just to be able to attack their life points if they have a full setup and even that might not be the case because Mirage Knight says, I win the battle every time.

It can out and break more unbreakable boards and going first it has protections, but i know it is better going 2nd, But flame sword is ok in both, like a jack of all trades... not something amusing...if it is a deck you like you can play with it ofc. But it wont be a strong rogue. It will be at a level of dark magicians and blue eyes. It will struggle because it has no negate or attack all monsters capability to wipe a whole board. Yugioh out your other whole board with a consistant one-two-card combo to be relevant nowadays.

I already tested the cards out as a small engine in my Infernoble Knight deck profile and it's pretty good and fun to play with.

It will get 2 cards from the OCG in a year or so, as these are a TCG made archetype. Aside from that we may not get any :/

Unfortunately, the trap card cant tribute your opponents monster as cost. Tributing is always done from your field unless specified. 😔
I think it has lots of potential. I think they’ll release another fusion and monster with a card that fuses red eyes and this engine

I think the earthbound immortal stuff is more like the gate guardian cards based on rarities and I think it's better as a pure strategy
