In 2008 I was standing next to a guy with binos he said who have you backed ? I said DENMAN. He said go and queue up lad and there was still over a mile to go !!

I was there and it was an incredible atmosphere when he won. My wife's favourite horse so she had a good bet on him.
The time denman came 2nd to kauto star was emotional for me
