I completely get Ryan's point about Taylor songs being annoying at first and then growing on you and I think I have an explanation. She's really good at writing melodies that get stuck in your head so when you don't know the words and you just know the tune it drives you insane, it's not until you learn the lyrics that you realise how truly amazing she is

I really hated Shake It Off because I found the beginning of the chorus really weird a few years ago (the players gonna play play play play play) and all the rhyming I found weird, but when I listened to this song a couple months ago, I actually understood the meaning of the lyrics, and the meaning of the statement “shake it off” where you should shake it off, meaning a breakup.
Same I didn’t even like My tears Ricochet but later overtime I realised it’s soo goodddddddddd

My brother has the same thing. He says he doesn't know of one of her songs that he loved when he first heard it. But bring up a sing he's heard 4 or 5 times? Yeah, he likes it.

You should definitely give Evermore more chances. Keep listening to it and you find some seriously good lyrics that hit you hard. My faves are "Long Story Short" and "Right where you left me (bonus track)" These are both such underrated songs with really good lyrics and great catchiness.

Even if you’re not really into evermore, I highly recommend listening to Marjorie. You have probably heard it before though. Very emotional song that made me think of my grandparents.

EVERMORE is my absolute favorite album so I really recommend you give it a chance. Champagne problems, right where you left me, coney island, tolerate it, happiness, tis the damn season, ivy ughh thats like half the album but they're literally sooo underrrated.

I grew up with The Beatles and they were my favourite. Then I heard Taylor for the first time in 2007 and I knew I was hearing the next really big thing. Actually met her in March 2008, that's before Fearless, and told her shed be as big as The Beatles some day. She gave me a big hug. I was wrong. She's bigger and better than The Beatles. And Sir Paul has tacitly admitted that.
I agree with Ryan! I used to hate Taylor’s music but the more I listened and learned that 99.9% of her songs are a personal story I started to love her

Just discovered you guys from this video, subscribed 3 seconds in and now that I’m done with this one I’m going to the next! This was such a wholesome video. And hrhdhsjsj (as i myself, being around since debut) I love seeing how others being around since the same time experienced the album and grew up with it. I was a super lonely kid and Taylor was a big part of getting through it.

I got 14/15, everything but the Outside. Can't wait for Debut TV, since I never really got to listen much to debut, because we only had Fearless EU as her first album in 2009, but I definitely could sing the lyrics with Sam. I did know that it was from debut though, since I didn't know it immediately.
The outside is my favorite from Debut too! When it started to play it was like an instant burst of serotonin! Also 15/15.
