Burrtec Mountain Disposal LNG Pete 520 Pak-Mor R100B RL Packing Trash

I was definitely a bit late to see Mountain’s cooler stuff. Their residential fleet now consists of 8 of these identical units and a couple satellite trucks that no one has filmed (to my knowledge). They do still have some of the last diesel front loaders in Burrtec’s fleet.
Nonetheless these trucks are pretty cool for California. Though I’ve spent many hours pointing a camera at the business end of a Pak-Mor rear loader I’ve never seen one of this size or powered by LNG. The smaller sweep blades reminded me of the old Newport Beach videos from years ago. The stand up drive is undeniably cool too. And perhaps most importantly, this is one of the only manual routes left in the state that will stay that way for the foreseeable future.
This was filmed in November 2020. If anyone’s in the area, I would happily watch another video of one of these trucks working in the snow...

Late comment, I apologize. Super cool to see more mountain disposal Pak Mor videos, even they have been filmed a few times, I always enjoy seeing them. I did see one of their little satellite trucks when I filmed there last, but I was eating lunch and didn’t get a chance to follow it :(. Maybe one of these days some one can catch one though. Awesome video!

You could comment on a video 12 years old and not need to apologize! I agree that they are interesting little bodies, I often wonder who makes them. Where were you eating lunch up there? I stopped at a nice little coffee shop in the "downtown" area and the McDonald's

Great post Andy, I’m glad burrtec decided to but these Pak-Mors on 520 chassis. Idk if it’s just me but the lighting pattern of the lightbar is so dank lol. Cant wait to see more!

Thanks! I would have liked to see MSLs but no doubt these are pretty cool too. You can actually see at 1:30 my phone reflecting the lightbar pattern into the hopper lol

Great video mate, with me being a big fan of the old Newport videos and manual collection in general, I definitely had to watch this video :D I think these are pretty good replacements for the old MSL, the drivers probably even prefer these because they don‘t have to flip the cans up high anymore. Overall pretty nice looking rigs with the Peterbilt chassis, really fits the small Pak-Mor body. The scenery gave the video the final touch, really blended in with the small truck moving through a kind of forrest. Also cool to see some new Pak-Mors, especially these smaller ones, don‘t see new Pak-Mors too often except of course ESD. I definitely didn’t imagine Burrtec would buy Pak-Mors to replace the old fleet, but this proves again why I love Burrtec, full of surprises haha This one also definitely had a quick sweep blade, I always associate Pak-Mors with the slower blade lol. Entertaining how you also included shots that are near the hopper, makes it even better too watch with a bigger variety of angles :D Only thing I‘m still skeptical, about is that light bar above the hopper, looks a bit weird in my opinion. Hope to see more videos of these trucks here on TH-cam in the future, they are pretty entertaining to watch :)

Why would you put one man on a rear loader in hilly area I’ll never understand front loader would of made more sense. Keep driver close to the cab especially in this kind of area .
