    Great point « delaying » your secondary so when the ball crosses the plate you’re still in motion. Just don’t go too far

    Okay. Good. But one point. We teach our catchers that secondary leads of runners on first that have their right foot planted late or momentum moving away from 1st when the catcher receives the ball are great pick off targets. Off course your insisting that the runner immediately get back if the pitch is caught, but it's still a close play at first with a good catcher.
