- A guide looking at what the world of San Sequoia brings in The Sims 4, including the main features and a few cute little secrets as well. San Sequoia is broken up into three main areas. The three areas are Gilbert Gardens, Anchorpoint Wharf and Hopewell Hills
Gilbert Gardens centres aroudnd a large lake, and has fishing spots, swimmable areas, a water park and an arboretum, with trails to walk, power walk or jog in the area too.
Anchorpoint Wharf has a cure seaside location, as well as a movie theatre that can be visited, and finally Hopewell Hills is a very lush and green area with a beautiful pond and park.

The world is giving magnolia promenade because there just doesn’t seem like much to do unless your sim really likes monkey bars

I haven’t looked around the world yet, I just bought the expansion, but this makes so much sense 🤣 I was playing with the Michaelson family (from San Sequoia), the male child had some spare time so I took him to the Copperdale park (Totter Park). He only wanted to play on the monkey bars! 😅🤣 This is all he did until I canceled the action (his decision, obviously!) and had him ride the ferris wheel…
I like it I think it’s very beautiful, but for a San Francisco themed world I’m very upset it doesn’t have any apartments or townhouses
The world is so pretty but I wish they had a little more to do in it. Even if the arboretum was a rabbit hole you could come out with seeds or a flower or something. Birdwatching along the walking trails would have been nice too. And yes more whohoo spots please!
The botanical garden couldve been lovely for weddings if the building was open like the one in San Myshuno's park :/

I think the world is nice. I do wish they would have given us a different lot than the library, that the community center had classes and that there were an additional rabbit hole or 2 where the movies is at (like an arcade or restaurant). Or even that arboretum building would’ve been nice to be able to click on and have the Sims go inside of it.
I defs agree I would have LOVED if there were classes that ran at the community center! And I do feel the arboretum building being more explorable would have been so cool.

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed that the stump doesn't do anything. Remember hidden worlds? Why can't we have hidden worlds anymore? Or apartment buildings, geeze.
It looks cool, though. I can't wait to get it and overrun the lake area with mermaids.
I agree, hidden worlds were so much fun to discover. I think the last time they added a hidden world was Outdoor Retreat, excluding Realm of Magic because their world isn’t really hidden.
A hidden world would have been so cool! The other day I did get an inspired moodlet from jogging past Ol' Stumpy. But that's about all this location does XD
According to The Sims Team, they stopped adding hidden worlds because most players do not use/play with hidden worlds (according to a survey they conducted years ago with Sim players).
Do you know if there's dross-pack compatability with Movie Hangout? If your sim declares a preference for a certain type of film with that pack, does it carry over to the films shown at the movie theater? Also, did you notice that a few of those movies are the ones you can make in the Actor career?
Oh my gosh Sabrina that is such a genius thing to consider! In all honesty I haven't checked but I will look into it!! Would be great/very awesome if it did!! And I didn't notice that either! Haha I wonder if you get a special moodlet or something if a sim who acted in the movie then goes to watch their own film! Going to have to look into that too!

I think it looks nice, I just hate how there’s not much to do. They missed SOOO many opportunities to really make the world interesting. Things you’d expect to interact with, you can’t. I would’ve been fine with them all being rabbit holes. But no…nothing. 🫤
I actually love this world! I took my toddler to the splash park once and immediately packed up our apartment and purchased a house there. It was just such a lovely, family friendly vibe. Heading to the rec centre after and letting the toddler play in the baby zone reminded me so much of the kind of activities I did with my real life babies when they were young 🥹

The Arboretum is (I'm pretty sure) a nod to the one in Golden Gate Park, as well as the Conservatory of Flowers also there but in a different location. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservatory_of_Flowers

the map is visually beautiful but in all honesty its the same copy and paste and the park is very boring considering its a family gameplay pack.
No Woohoo in the Cinema? What a disappointement! ;) I remember in Sims3 my Sims did get it on there pretty often and I always laughed, when they were thrown out because of there wild shenanigans. What a pity that this will not happen here. I love your channel! You always help me find inspiration for playing/building in the game. I like the pack, I just wished the world didn't look so bland. If they'd leaned more into a high-density city style, or at least neighborhoods with the lots closer together, it'd feel a lot more interesting/fuller than it is. The greater area of San Francisco is just not that captivating visually.
Stump does give a moodlet! Sent my sim for a jog while I debated with her siblings and noticed she got a happy moodlit from seeing old stumpy

I totally understand the limited lots issue but they have to offset that somehow. A lot of the set dressing is not autonomously interacted with by sims. The movie theater rabbit hole seems nice. Why not put a rabbit hole in every area for sims to enjoy? The arboretum could’ve been one. The world seems lifeless.

I kind of wish that building was a bait shop and that you could sell or buy fish there for better prices. I don’t even care if it’s a rabbit hole. Just would add a little more interactivity.
it would have even been nice if there was an option to fish on the docks. such a strange choice for them to keep it empty and unusable.

Apparently there's a crocodile in the lake at Gilbert Gardens and sharks can be spotted from Anchorpoint Wharf.
I've had the new Growing Together pack since it came out, but have uet to visit its new world. That water park looks fun for families. I'm gonna have my sims visit from Willow Creek.

Being from California and living in San Francisco for about 7 years the stump is suppose to represent the red woods in Northern California!
The world is pretty basic tbh, I'm already bored after playing with it a couple times 😅 Also it's disappointing that toddlers can't come on the walks, my sims family had to leave their toddler behind with some random man that was talking to her 😂

Hey Petey, how about Seasons' roller/ice skating rinks & food stalls location in every world for your next video?
I just can't believe it's taken them this many years to give us a movie theatre as a rabbit hole when that same thing came in the sims 3 base game. Why didn't it come in the sims 4 movie game pack or whatever it was called? Just kinda dumb if you ask me. Anyway, aside from that venue, the city area in this world is just so... bland. Empty, useless, just residential and it makes me wonder: why?

It is very pretty - also got me thinking if I'm missing opportunities with all the empty space in the worlds? What can we do with our sims in these large seemingly unusable areas in the neighbourhood? I know we can take easels, photography equipment, BBQs, tents and now sleeping bags but is there other things I'm forgetting? Can we successfully have group outings?

There's also the groove tube speaker that you can pop in and out of your inventory for some music! And then there's a travel crib too to take infants around. I am sure there is lots more I am missing though!
I haven't played in this location yet. Is the giant bridge reminding anyone else of San Francisco? Kind of disappointed that's where the resemblance seems to end.

idk if I just haven't played in the world enough to know where they are or if it actually is that empty but I haven't found many diggables/plants growing which sucks because its a beautiful world i'd like to play rags to riches in but almost impossible if you dun wanna travel xD

maybe it's just me but the new world looks rather boring to me (i visited my parents and borrowed a laptop that is not mine and updated it to the most recent pack)
i like the pack in itself but they could've done more with the world that comes with the growing together pack

3:26 no its not great to increase relationship it takes to loong, you can just use the social bunny add as a friend and get MAXED friendship in less than 1 minute spamming messages, so no this way to increase friendship is very bad way too slow, and is not the most effficient way to be friends on the game.
Why the heck are the buildings looks so bright? I don't like that they could've made it age a little while
So in this town u can splash around, rabbit hole movie, and walk and jog around. My Sims can already walk and jog around plenty. What an absolute waste of money Lmao. Especially since we got the infant's for free, that's really all that mattered

The World's just keep getting worse, more unusable water instead of usable space and things to do. And is seems to resemble a city I would never want to live in yet alone rais a child in! Just a cheap world with no substance!!!

People need to not hate on this pack. It’s so good, the world is small so that can have more gameplay. Would love to see a full review as it seems like there is a lot. Like if you are buying the pack regardless of everyone else’s opinions.
remember get together? They can do both. Why make family gameplay pack when there are no lots to move your family into? Why make a rental lot in a neighborhood where there is nothing to do? I think it's lacking and It's good people are complaining

My first impression of the world was not impressed, and still not impressed. Every neighborhood is very large!! So i thought o wow.. oke.. BUT only 3 lots, not much to do, open spaces, i had to search for just 1 or 2 collectibles, i had to search for fishingspots.. there isn't even 1 in the left hood?!? And I wish the movie theater could have been placed in other worlds functional like the ferris wheel from high school. The worlds getting worse and worse since i think with Sulani IMO. Yes Sulani is pretty but there started the lack of a secret world, less lots, and no option to really go under the water. So a lot of lack in the world itself. Same lack appeared in the world of get famous where it also had less lots, no beach opportunity.. and it only got worse. San Myshuno and New Crest and the basic worlds are where my sims spend their days mostly..
Still not worth burnout and midlife crises and new ways for you sims to not get along.

Probably my least favorite world in The Sims. I don't plan to every play here -- it's completely lifeless.
