I know I've said it before, but this still proves to be my favorite edh show. It has a "home" feel to it that I love.
As a fellow Ur Dragon player, I looooooved how gross was Brian's turn 1. This episodes feel like 20min episode, they are so fun and refreshing time goes by without noticing it! Lovely guys ❤☺. I wish i coul play there one day, sadly Spain is quite far away. The most I can hope is to see and take a pic with olivia & brian(if he comes) to Barcelona's Magic Con at the end of July!

My favourite part about 7:43 where Olivia jokes about people complaining when players use spindowns for random rolls is that spindowns are actually *more* random than a standard d20 when rolling odds or evens.
The main issue with a spindown is that all of the high numbers are on one side of the die, meaning that it is a lot easier to guarantee that you'll roll high. However, when rolling odds or evens, the higher numbers being gathered only means that the odd and even numbers are nicely spread out across the die. On the other hand, the standard d20 puts all the even numbers on one side and the odd numbers on the other--it's a lot easier to guarantee odd or even.
So basically, when rolling odds or evens, someone can use the exact same skill that makes spindowns 'not a real random dice' to rig a standard d20, but they can't use it to rig a spindown.
GG! That was fun. I thought Olivia was going to win the whole game with that engine she had out and Brian taking all the heat, and then the Farewell happened. At that point, it was anyone(but Brian's) game, but Olivia still pulled it through! So exciting!!!

30:46 Brian asks, "Would you like to pay?" and Olivia taps a Mana Vault for {3}, then says "I'll use the one to cast Skullclamp" but the Smothering Tithe trigger she payed for was during her draw step in her beginning phase; the mana should have emptied going into her precombat main phase.

Ur Dragon player here. I'm always the Archenemy as well, but I always enjoy playing the game with my friends. They all gang up on me regardless of what happens, feels nice to have the power of the deck appreciated, but at the same time it kinda sucks to be targetted all the time. Excellent plays all around.

If i hadnt seen other episodes to know the last few kibler's turn 1's were 'draw, play a land, go' his turn 1 this game would be the most sus thing ive seen in a while.

I love that Ben won't let Olivia bully him out of targeting her when she would become the real threat otherwise. He's a true competitor and she's getting salty at him that Brain isn't more than 6ft under! (Why she so mad tho?)

My wife and I were watching this and joked that Kibler at any time is like Thanos with the Gauntlet. He could snap his fingers and remove half the people at the table from the game. His decks are the villain of the show.

At 25:12 what card does Brian say his next card is? It sound's like he said Klauth's Will but the card looks mono green. To me it also sounds like "cloudswell". I've looked at the deck list and still can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated because it is starting to drive me nuts lol.

Me thinking Brian can kill everyone with just 2 hits any time he wants from his commander.
Gotta say, I’m a bit mystified by that targeting choice myself.
The only weakness of a certain commander is racking up the Commander tax, so letting its pilot just keep piling up the mana is essentially making said Commander Indestructible-that-also-applies-to-exile based-removal.
An ultimate result that was unknowable at that moment doesn’t really vindicate a bad targeting call.
A blind squirrel does occasionally find a nut, after all.
Especially when the pilot who’s ahead is sandbagging for the sake of good content.
It’s always a little feels-bad when someone comes after your key stuff when you’re 110% convinced one of your other opponents is miles out in front of you.
Kinda been noticing in my own gameplay recently, just how often opponents forget about a Saga Chapter that’s going to rock them, *particularly* when it’s the 2nd or later chapter.
What card is Brian saying at 23:29 and 25:11? Sounds like Cloudswell, but I could only find cards called Groundswell and Cloudkill, neither of which seem right for the context.

After years of watching his Hearthstone videos, Omnistone, and all the videos of his talking about Magic...I think this is the first time I've ever heard Brian swear. And...yeah, he's right, that was some Bill Shut.
As someone who is learning to play magic, how did Brian keep his Ur dragon on the field? Shouldn't it have returned to the command zone at his next end step or did I miss something?

Ashlen employs the double-edged sword strategy known to most as “not it”. Works in her case, but can become an arch enemy vs a sanctuary for valid not itsies.

If only he didn't give her those three cards at the end though haha. Probably wouldn't've made too much difference in the long run though.

@@noxington4260 Yeah I enjoy the show but this episode was rough. She literally had an entire artifact engine up AND an Ur Dragon and was saying Brian was still the threat because she was "only going to target him".
